Royal Brush RART-140 Golden Taklon Multi-Purpose Brush Set, Assorted Sizes (Pack of 3)

Bought these before elsewhere. Ideal for applying gesso. I like dry brush technique in minimalist abstraction painting and the big brush is one of my favourites for this. I look after my brushes so they tend to last. They won't forever of course, but they will for a long time if you don't treat them carelessly, like not cleaning them after use and soaking the ferrule & crimp beyond the bristles in water. Something I never do. If I soak a brush it's only to cover the bristles and nothing else and not for too long either. They don't shed in my experience, but if you're heavy handed and really mangle the bristles for some reason i.e. because you're trying to create a particular effect, then I imagine they will shed with that kind of heavy use, but normal usage, I've had no problems in that regard. Excellent value. They're very popular for a reason.

This low cost pack of hake brushes are obviously not top quality but are remarkably good value for money. Whether you are curious about if this is a variety of brush that you want to explore before buying something better or merely want something large and soft for wetting down or dusting with these are a useful set. This is set has a 1 inch, slightly less than 2 inch and slightly less than 3 inch brushes well filled with very soft goat (?) hair and unfinished wood handles. This hair holds a lot of water but doesn't spring back when wet. I've not had problems with them shedding or with their durability although they benefit from a wash, reshape and the removal of any wandering hairs before use.I would recommend drying them with the brush end downward - which I recommend for every kind of brushes. This is my second set. I will now use the first set for brushing off excess pastel and keep these new ones for wet on wet painting.

For an inexpensive set and a known brand, these 3 Royal Brush RART from Royal Langnickel are a good place to start. I found there was very little bristle loss and they felt very soft. There is a good amount of flexibility and you can apply a bit more pressure or go softly over your paints. I used diluted Amsterdam Acrylics just to try out the ombre technique for the first time and was happy with the result. Looking forwards to trying more techniques to cover more background with these brushes

These brushes last ages. Firm but soft. Bristles don't fall out. Great for paint & varnish.

Not high quality but I did not pay for high quality. It was okay for the job but looses the odd bristles which can be annoying.

Ich verwende die Pinsel für Streichschellack - Geigenlackierung. Dafür stehen die Pinsel seit zwei Wochen ununterbrochen in Spiritus eingetaucht. Kein einziges Haar verloren. Kein Qualitätsverlust. Erstklassige Pinsel meiner Meinung nach.

tre ottimi pennelli per lavature in pelo di capra. Ai primi utilizzi sentirete un forte odore dell'animale che andrà via via perdendosi. Perdono pochi peli all'inizio per non perderne più con l'utilizzo. il legno tende ad assorbire acqua e colore ma il pelo si pulisce facilmente . tenere lontano dai gatti che ne sono attratti
