Amazing! just what i needed for my migraines
Love, love, love this! I have lots of headaches and migraines and this is amazing. The only problem is that you only get about 20 minutes use out of it before you need to put it back in the freezer, so I have bought a second one. The ice packs seem to sit in all the 'right' areas for where my pain is and it does help to relieve some of the pain. Along with that the lycra material provides some small amount of pressure, I explained this to my husband as similar too how you would push a cold pack or can onto your head when you have a head ache. It is not to much and seems to help to relieve some of the pain as well. It is nice not having to continually try to reposition or balance ice packs around my head. that said I do put a tea towel on my head first worn under the cap as the lycra material is quite thin and the cold shock is a bit too much for me. However, I could not recommend this enough. My second one is on order and eagerly awaited.

Great buy
Only just received this cap, but already used it twice. For me so far, it hasn’t got rid of the migraine, but it has lessened the pain, which in turn makes me more relaxed. I know it’s going to keep helping. I’m so happy I bought it.

.
Although I haven't had a migraine since I bought this, I decided to try it out today as my sinus headache and burning eyes were getting me down. I found it very soothing and it dulled the pain but didn't get rid of it completely. It doesn't fit snugly over the eyes so you tend to have to hold it in place a bit, but it gave relief by cooling the eyes once contact was made. I agree with other reviewers that maybe it would be better kept in the freezer rather than the fridge as it does lose the coldness pretty quickly. Since my migraines are far worse than my sinus headaches, I don't reckon this would stop the pain, but it would help to make things a little more bearable (along with painkillers and a sleeping pill once the puking has stopped) The only downside to this product is, once you take it off, it feels like your head and face are burning - but that wears off after a couple of minutes! Just an added note regarding migraines, at the moment I'm trying a supplement of 300mg per day Magnesium (tablet form) as I read it can help regulate hormones and a deficiency can be responsible for triggering migraines. Well, it can't do any harm. Anyway it's been four weeks and so far so good.

Love it! Great for all headaches!
I really recommend to anyone who gets regular headaches, including migraines or shunt/ hydrocephalus- related headaches! I had this recommended by someone else with the condition and had to give it a try. Because it's frozen, it only works for 20 - 30 minutes at a time. But can help a lot in that time. Before you have to put it back in the freezer! It gets very cold but does help prevent a worsening headache or can soothe a persistent one! I may even get a second one of these at some point, so I can swap over when it's not frozen anymore! Very simple concept (ice freezes out your headache), but great! Really glad I found this. I do not want to rely on painkillers and other pills to cover up pain. Weed also works and throbhead, which you can buy on here - a natural soothing cream for your temples for headache relief! Warning: you I'll look utterly ridiculous whilst wearing this! Really. But it's worth it! I recommend!

Cold relief for migraine sufferers
My wife suffers from migraines on a weekly basis, and she's had a migra-cap for years. However, recently she stepped on hers in the middle of the night after taking it off and dropping it on the floor by her bed, which made one of the gel packs explode. So I had to buy her another one the very next day. Pop it in the fridge (in a sealed container) to store it. When you need it, just put it on, and it surrounds your head tightly, with the cold gel inserts providing a few hours of relief to headaches and migraines. Because it covers your eyes as well, light is blocked out which is ideal for those who suffer light sensitivity during migraines. The tight fit will also provide some pressure to the head, which I believe many headache and migraine sufferers find soothing I'm lucky enough not to suffer from headaches, but I can tell you my wife absolutely swears by this thing. My son, who also gets migraines has got his own one too, and he also swears by it. Just a little tip, if you intend to share between family members, make sure they have the same size head! My son has a larger head than my wife, and he stretched our shared migra-cap so that my wife couldnt use it as it no longer fitted tightly enough. Now they have one each. Update!!! So now, following the above review, I'm going to have to deduct a couple of stars, as my wife has had time to use her new migracap several times, and says it is not as good as her previous one. Why? The material that the cap is made out of appears to be of lower quality than previously. It used to be quite a thick stretchy fabric, almost like wet-suit material, but now its much thinner, and certainly feels a lot cheaper (even to me who has only ever handled it but never used it). Unfortunately the price hasn't reduced so it would seem cutbacks have been made to make it cheaper to produce. It still does the job, but only time will tell if this new version lasts as well as the old version.

When you have a bad migraine headache, this is what you need!
I find it very helpful when i get bad migraine headaches, i put it in the freezer for a while and wear it when it gets really bad, it doesn't need to be in there for that long or you could find yourself getting brain freeze! It has cold patches inside of it all over, and a part for you to put your hair through. In my opinion it's worth the money and really helps, and it's not heavy on your head. It may feel kind of tight when you put it on, but once the cold patches kick in, your headache will feel better. I have took these pictures with the flash on, you can see the hole for your hair to go through in one of the pictures.

New design, big let down
I have had a migracap for years, a beloved piece of my “migraine kit”, unfortunately one of the gel packs burst and I bought another to replace it…how disappointed was I when I went to use it only to discover that the design has changed…it’s now very tight, the material is cheap, they have changed the placement of the gel packs so it’s now all in a band rather than some on the top of the head and lower & the gel packs are now hard and have sharp edges!!! I’m so disappointed & will be sending it back and buying another brand!!! I’m honestly gutted, finding a product that works when you have chronic migraine, it’s like gold dust.

I couldn't manage without this
This is the second Migra-Cap I have bought, not because the first is worn out but so that I can always have one in the freezer and one on my head when a really bad migraine attacks. Yes it does seem expensive but if you suffer from migraines you shouldn't count the cost, just the relief. I wouldn't goes as far as saying it cures them but boy does it help sooth those pulsating blood vessels. It blocks out the light a treat and is very comfortable to wear. I have only bought the black coloured ones as I figured these were probably the best for reducing light and that is a big problem for me. The only draw back is that you do look an idiot in it, my husband calls it my hangman's hat. However, who cares when you have a migraine!
