Handy little tool
For just a few pounds, it's well worth having this official tool because it allows you to remove and plug in Shimano Di2 wires wihtout damaging them. Apparently many of the Shimano warrant issues are with Di2 cables that have been damaged whilst adding/removing.....

Bought this to install the EW-WU111 D-Fly unit on my new Di2 gravel bike to allow me to customise levers through the e tube app, adjust gears, sync with my bike computer etc. It’s a handy little tool for this job, it was easy to disconnect and reconnect the Di2 cables without damaging them. I just can’t understand why it’s as expensive as it is for a tiny plastic tool! Why can’t it be included with the D-Fly unit itself seeing as this is also £70!?

Why Shimano don't include these with a di2 setup is anyone's guess, but this is a genuine Shimano TL-EW02 tool and it does exactly what you need it to.

家置き用と携帯用。2つあると良い。 Di2に電源スイッチがあればいいけど無いので室内に置いておく際、壁でシフターをずっと押していたことがあって以降、室内や車内に置く際はバッテリーのケーブルを抜いているのでこれあると抜き差しが楽。素手でも抜き差しできるけどあると楽です。

The Exorcist for Di2 Demons
You ever try unplugging a Di2 cable with your bare fingers? Yeah, that’s how you end up questioning all your life choices and Googling “how to remove Shimano wire without breaking $600 shifter.” Then I met this little black exorcism wand. Tiny, unassuming, looks like something that came free in a Happy Meal, but my God, it works. Click. Done. No panic. No praying to Saint Shimano. Just pure, cable-seating satisfaction. It doesn’t sing, light up, or tell you you’re doing a good job, but when your Di2 stops ghost-shifting because you actually seated the cable right, you will feel like a wizard. Honestly, Shimano could charge $100 and call it the “Tactical Electronic Interfacing Device” and I’d still buy it. Five stars. Saved my sanity.
