H&S Book Stand Recipe Cookbook Holder Stand Kitchen Bookrest Reading Rest Metal

Bought it for my girlfriend. She said she doesn’t use it very often at all, but it is very useful for holding her heavy and thick textbooks open. Looks nice. Comfortable to use. Good value for money from memory of the value (bought a long time ago now). Good versatility as she uses for heavy textbooks, meaning I’m sure using things like thin recipe books and whatnot would work well. Never fallen over on her as far as she can remember. She would recommend!

I thought at first this was a bit flimsy, but I'm pleasantly surprised at how good it is. Very light weight but very sturdy. It takes up little storage room but is excellent at its job.

As with some other reviewers, I'm using it as a table top music stand! It is much stronger than the, (much pricier), purpose made ones I've seen. Folds down nicely flat, and angle of rake is adjustable, plus it can be used to hold a cookbook open as well! An A4 sheet does extend beyond the top, and may need a piece of card or something for support if the paper is flimsy. However, most printer paper seems to hold up well enough. Even with that slight issue, this is recommended.

Wish I'd have bought this year's ago, it's stable easy to set up doesn't take much room and its easy to put away flat i highly recommend 10/10

My job means I read lots for research and pleasure. Most books are old, out of print titles. They haven't been translated to Kindle yet. On subjects including Social history, War, Industrial heritage. These books often exceed 800 pages often around 1000. I mention this because most offerings on Book Rests/holders seem from experience of buying at least 4 different types, 3 available here at Amazon. Any book larger than 200 pages and the choice is limited to say the least. They are mostly catered towards disabled or elderly people with restricted movement or more so these days to Device tables. This stand from H&S is in a world of its own though, It works!! The best things about this stand are: Built of metal, quality heavy duty plastic. Has a ribbed lip where the stand meets the base of Book spine, this stops it slipping whilst on stand. Has 7 adjustable angle postions, each has deep gully where metal rear sits. Secure, doesn't slip out when turning pages or moving the book. 2 front page grips that you can move independently. I've tested the following size books, each fits without problems: Paperback 600 pages Hardback 600 pages Hardback 900 pages Paperback 1300 pages Some books are really springy when first opening which can make some books sit a bit oddly on the stand but were secure. This would be great for students, hands-free reading, cookbooks and magazines too!

Great for baking no dirty book

A sturdy product which is large enough to accommodate the more substantial cookbooks but which folds flat for storage. Using it daily at present and seems worth the price charged.

This seemed great initially however after only a couple of months one of the page holders snapped at the bottom so it’s no use to me now.

Simple, pratique et robuste

This is a great versatile book stand. I have some very large and heavy cookbooks along with thin and flimsy ones. This stand supports them all in a steady and usable manner. I have owned and used many book stands. This is my best yet! Happy baking.
