This magnetic mesh screen works great and does exactly what it's supposed to do. It can be put up by one person if need be, I used the included thumb tacks to hold the top of this curtain where it needed to be so that I could make sure I had it right. Basically my thoughts are go by the measurements and buy accordingly. I had to buy the one neasrest to my old 1973 12x65 "Manufatured Housing", so my patio door is much smaller in height than todays. I didn't worry about attaching it to the frame, it went just fine on the panelled wall on one side and used the frame of the other door that is stationary,for mounting. The sticky tape is fine but Make Sure You Wash the surfaces you're attaching the tape to, it may look clean but you'll see. As far as this item goes, don't let the reviews about having to pull the center of the top section up a bit so that the "doors" /netting will close. Waiti to see if the curtain relaxing is enough. It looks great once it relaxes too. Mine just hits the floor because I knew if I left a gap the mosquitos will find it. As far as the magnets go, perfect, they're strong enough to close the curtain for you if you have your arms full of groceries etc. If I still had cats and dogs all they'd do is watch me to see how this thing works, they aren't stupid. I just love the way I can just walk right into it and just keep on going since the mags will connect behind me, even so, slow down, life's better that way anyway. It may take you a few days to realize you have this thing up. To close the patio door just put your hand through and do it. If you feel the need to "claim'"it do so. I think it has enough mags in the liner. Honestly? I like this better in a way than the old screen door which I can no longer find anywhere beause it opens easily and closes same way, no patio door to open and close. Cats haven't used it as a "scratching post yet". The screen has dark vertical lines top to bottom to help see it until you get used to it. Putting it together and up was easy, English is close enough for understanding. It's actually easier to put up than you think, compared to a screen "window" I bought that doesn't have the mags sewn into the contact stips, the roll of "magnetized" tape isn't very.good at all, putting this up was a breeze, looks much better than before and I just love the way the mags click it all back together. I highly recommend this screen!

This screen was very easy to install. Took my husband less than 30 minutes. The magnets are strong enough that it falls into place easily; considering we have 2 doggies, one of which, the boy, always wants to go outside and then come inside and then go outside and then come back inside and so on and so on. I have been enjoying it as well as the pups. It does what it says; keeps flies and mosquitoes and whatever else out.

This magnetic screen works quite well - better than I guessed it would. I'm fairly impressed by the quality of the material, how strong the magnets forming the closure edges are, and by how easy it was to install. The adhesive on the hook-loop strip is very good - better than I've seen with other products that use adhesive for things like this type self-stick mounting. A few other observations... > It's fairly hard to gauge the size to order, since it's all flexible and just a bit stretchy. What I measured for the inside frame to frame was about 34.5 inches, so I ordered a 36 inch wide screen. Where the outside edges of the installed screen are, it's about 38 inches wide. I agree with their suggestion to order the next larger size than you measure, but just be aware - it will probably come a little larger than their listing. Fortunately, this totally works in my situation, since I had 1"x4" doorframe wood (as is fairly common). Just - be aware, plan accordingly. > They mention to mount the top adhesive/hook-loop strip with the middle slightly higher than the ends, so that the natural "drape" of the fabric will fall together at the bottom, rather than having any tension or leaving a gap towards the bottom. I did this, with the center of the top strip perhaps half an inch (1cm) higher than the edges. You can't even tell it, it's such a small change across 3 feet (95cm) of distance, but I'm confident that this small adaptation in the installation does let the magnetic closure work well all the way down - just avoiding any fabric tension with these decent but not super-strong magnets. Anyway, once I installed it, everything closes well (as shown in the videos). Their instructions are to put the Velcro (or hook-loop strip) onto the sides and top of the screen, and then hold it up where it needs to be installed and pull off the backing to expose the adhesive, applying the sticky part to the door frame as you go. While basically correct, I found that this would be nearly impossible without 8 hands holding corners and edges in place. I greatly simplified the whole installation by only putting the Velcro strip on the two sides, and then holding it all up to see where the top strip would go on the frame, and making a few marks at the edges and center (with the center about half an inch higher, as mentioned. Then I set it all aside and just did the top adhesive strip, using my marks. Pulling the backing off one end and starting with that end, I applied the strip to the frame as straight and with a bit of tension to avoid any folds or humps as I went across, peeling the backing off about 8 inches at a time as I stuck it to the frame. This worked splendidly, because now I could just hang the whole screen in place, with the edges hanging where they naturally fell, and adjusting the screen top and edges to fall naturally right where I wanted them, straight up and down. From there, peeling back the backing as I went down each side was super-simple and went fairly quickly. I was able to gauge just how much tension there was from side to side, leaving it just a bit loose so it would easily close by itself, and making sure there were no "tension lines" that fabric can develop if it is tugging in only one spot, in one direction. Even if that happened at install, pulling the fabric screen off the Velcro of the frame and letting it fall back onto the Velcro more naturally would eliminate the issue - but if you do the install carefully and keep everything straight up and down, none of that fabric tension develops. > The supply some gold metal tacks that you can tap in with a few light hammer strikes, if you like. I did not put them in, but I kept them handy for when I need them. I will actually be buying some better ones at the store or online, however, since these look flimsy and easy to bend, and also have no way to remove them. They might be useful when I pull the screen off the velcro for the winter, to help the adhesive keep the Velcro strips in place. But if you want to put them in with the screen installed, they would give you trouble when you wanted to remove the screen and only leave the Velcro strips in place for when you next install the screen material. Basically, there are other pin-type fasteners that actually have a double head, or a knob, or a hoop on top to allow them to easily be removed without digging at them with a screwdriver or chisel. I will be buying something like that to hold the screen material on the velcro strip when I have the screen in place. And, I have a heavy duty upholstery stapler that I plan to use on the Velcro strips themselves, both to help the adhesive hold to the frame, and to hold the strips in place once the sun bakes the adhesive into useless powder, since these are mounted to the outside of an exterior door frame. Sun and weather WILL take a toll over time. Staples are a cheap way to keep everything in place as long as possible. > I don't expect a fabric door or fabric Velcro strips to last forever. We will see how long it all remains functional. At around $30 USD, replacing this after 3 years (or whatever) is not terribly burdensome, and this turns out to be a great solution for our very strange door that is not a standard size, and would require a custom screen door to be built for it. Estimates I've seen are in the $1000 USD or higher range - so this alternative is very attractive and should work well for our time in this house. I took some pics and made a couple of videos, they show a lot of this and more, since it's hard to describe how simple this door is to use, and how well it closes up behind you as you go through it. Nice. Very nice. Recommended, for now. I will update here if something fails to work as expected - but for now, everything is great!

This magnetic screen door works really well! It was easy to install, fits nicely, and the magnets close the screen back up quickly after you walk through. I love being able to enjoy fresh air without worrying about flies, mosquitoes, and other bugs getting inside. It’s also convenient for kids and pets to go in and out. Absolutely love these temporary magnetic screen doors! It's a must have for doors that don't have built-in screens. VERY sturdy, durable material, strong magnets and it's simple to apply. I've had a magnetic screen at a different location from a different company and it was not near as good quality and the magnet closure wasn't good, this brand is perfect! I have them on 2 different doors, I improvised the installation on the French door because I only wanted it on one side. French door improvised installation: it's a temporary house so I did not use the adhesive strips that come with the screen, I purchased 3M Velcro and cut off little sections so that it won't destroy the paint when I remove it. On one side of the frame I also applied the Velcro to the inward facing part of the frame so that, if it does indeed remove some paint I can touch it up without it being an eyesore from the front. My screens does not seal on the bottom to keep crawling bugs out if you have them, but that is because of my specific door frames and how I installed it.

Has made my life 100x better - I was so annoyed with the amount of bugs in my house, this fixed the problem instantly. It's pet-friendly and easy for my dog to get through. My doorway is pretty short, so for taller people, the net is a little tight/narrow on your head at the top end, but this would be negligible on a regular sized doorway. Note: my doorway is really short, so I had to trim ~10" off the bottom of the screen. However, the magnets are not glued in place inside the sleeve (they can slip around), which means that trimming off the bottom caused some of the magnets to slip down and fall out of the sleeve. I've fixed this manually, but keep in mind if you plan to adapt it.
