Yes, BUT, you must change the chargers to 220v ac 6v DC output OR buy step down transformers (50 watt minimum). You can purchase them on Amazon cheap.

can you set the answering machine part to answer only one line?

On the unit I received, the two lines are completely separate, and so are the option, including independent number of rings before auto answer.

Can you add additional handsets?

Will this TL 88002 handset work if it is replacing an AT&T SL82318 phone?

Sorry no idea --- check to see what bases support the 88002 and then do the same for your 82318. If your base number is listed for both you should be home free
