Tunnock Milk Chocolate Coated Caramel Wafer Biscuits 30 g (Pack of 48)

Been snacking with these for 55 years and suddenly no longer sold, along with Tunnocks Marsh Mallows, in Supermarkets. Now discovered availability via Amazon for bulk purchases at much better value. My Thanks to Amazon and Tunnocks for continuing this service. Bulk purchase will make no difference to my consumption, that’s all based on self control and at 6 ft 3 inches I’m still relatively thin.

I got these as a gift for my dad on his birthday as for as long as I can remember they have been one of his favourite biscuit bar snacks and he has favoured them over other brands of biscuit assortments which have been brought into the house. They are foil paper wrapped bars of stacked waffers with caramel layering and a milk chocolate outer layer. However, that simple description does not really do justice to how tastey these really are. They vanish quickly in our house and are generally even preferred to chocolate bars or other confectionary. I myself do not eat a lot of confectionary, desserts or sweet foods but I would prefer these to any alternative, they are great with a glass of milk or cup of black coffee. Also good for a lunch box or snack box on a picnic or longer journey. They are tastey and chewy but not too chewy and do not stick in the teeth, like some toffee or caramel bars and biscuits. Perhaps the closest alternative that I can think of would be the caramel waffers I have seen in some coffee shops, although these have no chocolate coating on the exterior layer.

Tasty but guess what, almost 35g of sugar per 100g... But I'm not looking for health in what I know an extreme sugary wafer biscuit treat, am I? Pack of 48 is actually A LOT, so probably will size down and get occasional treats instead. 4-stars overall.

I really enjoy these and it's much more convenient to buy a large box.

These wafer biscuits are a hit with the whole family. I like them with a cuppa but good for a quick treat anytime. I always carry a couple in a pocket when out for a walk and may need a quick boost. Buy in bulk for a better unit price. I have seen similar bars in discount supermarkets but Original is Best!! 😁

Tasty bar and just the right size for a snack box. Good value.

Diese Caramel Waffeln sind der absolute Hammer. Geschmacklich absolute Explosion, besonders lecker wenn Sie leicht gekühlt sind. Aber einen Minuspunkt gibt es, Sie machen süchtig und man kann nicht mehr auffhören. Noch nicht einmal 1 Woche ist es her das die Waffeln bei mir eintrafen, schon über die Hälfte des Kartons leer. Werde gleich nachbestellen!!!

We found these in Scotland and ordered them so soon as we returned home. So yummy! Don’t be confused…the 12 packages of 4 do hold within them 4 individually wrapped bars. Similar to an American Twix bar, these are layered with a kind of crisp cookie instead of loads of gooey sugar. Really love these!

It's probably the best caramel wafer to come out of the UK. Everyone I know that I give one too loves them. Did you know that the first chocolate came out of Scotland?
