The stands themselves I found to be of very good quality and well made
Stands arrived quickly and as stated. I did however have an issue as some others on here have had with the nut not tightening properly and leaving the stand unstable. I decided to contact Btech who confirmed that unfortunately there are some stands still out there with a slightly wrong sized nut as they had been made aware of the issue and rectified this for new units being made. I was sent two new modified nuts in the post and they arrived the following day free of charge. These new nuts (M16) cured the issue and they tightened correctly on to the stand. So I advise anyone who is also having or have had issues with the stand nut to contact Btech as they may well be able to help sort this issue for you. The stands themselves I found to be of very good quality and well made. I have my speakers fitted securely now and they have keyhole mounts. I had no issues in fixing this mount to the stand. Overall I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking at buying good quality stands for your surround speakers.

Decent quality home cinema speaker stands
I bought a pair of theses stands for my rear surround speakers. My system is the Sony BDV-N590 blu ray home cinema system. From reading the reviews I figured that it was highly likely that the adapter supplied with these would fit the Sony speakers and thankfully I was right. The brackets/ adapters supplied with these will suit most home cinema speakers from small systems anyway. For the best fit and look for my speakers I cut the adapter to size with a hack saw. Due to the numerous holes to suit various speaker types I felt that the speakers sat too high and that too much of the bracket could be seen when it was not cut to size. Some of the reviews mention issues with the building of the stands, particularly attaching the base to the upright. I personally had no issues at all and found them very simple to build. The speaker cable can be channelled through the stand to keep things tidy. I bought the cheapest Cambridge audio speaker cable from richer sounds for the rears. £1 a metre I think. Compared to the Sony speaker cable it is considerably thicker but I still managed to get it threaded through. I don't think you'd get any thicker cable through though. I can't really fault these stands particularly at the price. They do the job very well and I don't see any problems occurring with them. I have only given 4 stars as they haven't blown me away with features etc but they do their job well.

Good quality stands
We already had one pair of these speaker stands and having moved house/changed our speaker set up, wanted a second pair for the surround speakers. Good quality for the price, not too fiddly to put together, well weighted base so quite stable, and they look good. Excellent customer service from B-Tech when I contacted them with a query. All in all, pleased with my purchase.

Requires some creative problem solving to fit Tannoy HTS101 XP satellite speakers
After a great deal of research, I concluded that there were no suitable affordable stands for the satellite speakers in the Tannoy HTS101 XP 5.1 speaker package (aka the HTS-101 XP or the HTS101XP). All possibilities, including this one, had at least one negative review saying they were unsuitable. However, I'd seen a forum post recommending these stands, so took the risk. While the original HTS101 speakers had sideways speaker connections at the top of the speaker, in line with the mounting sockets, the HTS101 XP has connections under the mounting point, blocking any stand that would want to attach directly below these. Thankfully, the XP speakers are designed so they can be as easily positioned on their sides as they can upright. The Tannoy logo can be rotated 90 degrees to allow for this. I knew that these Ventry stands would allow for sideways mounting, if that was the only option. After some research and experimentation, I determined that the HTS101 XP speakers would also work well upside down, and that the logo happily rotates 180 degrees. The allen key supplied to tighten the screw holding the stand's mounting bracket to the pole will fit between the speaker connections, so there's nothing stopping them from being mounted in line with the stands, with Tannoy logo at the top. In terms of stability, like some other reviewers, I found that there seemed to be no way to stably attach the mounting bracket to the stand's pole in the way the instructions showed. I could only get it to attach firmly when turned upside down. I also managed to over-tighten the screw on one stand so that the threaded part of the top of the pole came loose and I was left with no option but to use putty to (imperfectly) reattach it, with added stability achieved by sticking two of the supplied sticky velcro squares between the swan neck pole and the outward facing part of the mount used for sideways mounted speakers. (It's possible that the issue I had with attaching the mounting bracket the right way up was simply that my stand's thread was faulty and had come loose immediately. If that's the case, you may have the option of using the bracket as intended). For the HTS101 XP, I found that it was best to add a washer between the upside down mounting bracket and the pole. This then leaves the speaker's bottom end (actually its rotated top end) touching part of the swan neck with a pretty firm hold. The speaker tilts slightly upwards, which was ideal for lining up with the centre speaker below the TV. The upside down bracket would generally seem to be the more stable option for heavier or top heavy speakers, assuming they'll fit in the gap. The only problem with this arrangement was that the mounting plate's holes then didn't quite line up perfectly with the speaker's, nor did the speaker's supplied wall mounting screws have quite enough space to fit, so it was a bit more of a struggle to screw the two together. I managed it without drilling the holes, but the top screw couldn't be fully tightened and so is really only preventing rotation rather than holding the speaker in place. Despite all the flaws and difficulties, I've ended up with a good speaker stand solution for my needs. Now they're in place, the stands look quite stylish and stable, as if they could have been designed for my speakers. The speakers don't look like they're upside down on stands that were assembled using a series of workarounds, unless you were to look very closely behind the one where the pole's thread was loose. My review is only 3 stars because, although a selection of different mounting options and all required tools are supplied, this stand wasn't all that well suited to my speakers. There was a fault with one of the two stands where the thread came out of the pole so that other means had to be found to keep the two parts securely and stably connected together. There's also no notch in the bottom of the stand's pole to allow thicker speaker cables to emerge like there is in the edge of the base, this causes the stand to be very slightly lifted onto the folded cable and so just wobbly enough on carpet to be prone to lean a little to one side or other - if you're using premium cable then applying a drill or dremel to the bottom of the pole before assembly should work around this design flaw. I would not say that this is a perfect choice if you're looking for stands for Tannoy HTS101 XP speakers, but for the money they're likely worth the effort it takes to make them work, given no obvious superior options.

Not fit for purpose, extremely poor build quality and design!
Extremely poor quality. As some reviewers have mentioned, they had problems with the nut not screwing tight enough at the base, resulting in an unstable stand. This is without adding the additional weight of a speaker. This points to threading issue with on the pole or the nut, either way I don't believe I should spend any extra time or money trying to doctor this. I order a pair of stands, one of the stands wouldn't tighten properly so I've temporarily had to tape the pole to the edge of the sofa so the stand and speaker doesn't collapse, so one of the stands is faulty. The other stand screwed in tight and fitted fine. However, once putting the speaker on resulted in the stand not being able to stay upright! The stand cannot hold the weight of the speaker which really defeats its purpose for me. Some might say you get what you pay for, but even at that price I'd expect a better quality product. Very poor build quality, for starters the base needs to be much heavier to be able to withstand the weight of the speaker! I will be returning the item and will purchase a better quality pair.

The stands were relatively easy to assemble, and worked out of the box with my Logitech z906 speakers. Cable goes inside the pole (which was a little fiddly) but makes it look much better and less cluttered. Would highly recommend.

Un peu fragile sur les fixations, par contre le design est bien et le passage de câble pas trop compliqué !
