Still the best
These days there's so many brands of fashion colour and it's now possible to buy colourful dyes in places like Boots. However having tried a lot of different brands I think that Directions still has the best value for money and the hugest range. You can dilute these colours with white conditioner to make pastel shades (only suitable if your hair is bleached very light/platinum) or add a drop of green + conditioner to make muted shades (dusky rose for example or dusky lavender)The colour that comes out will depend on the colour of your hair underneath. If you don't have bleached hair you will get a tint and it won't last as long (your hair won't be porous enough to hold the colour); if your bleached hair is orangey, that will warm up whatever colour you put on, so a pink will be more salmony. Please bear in mind that some purples/blues with a blue/green base (i.e cool colours) can stain your hair and it can be difficult to go back to your original colour after that, but possible to neutralise if you know a bit about the colour wheel :-)

Not great.
Used this in my daughters hair. The colour did not really take at all. It looked extremely faint and washed out. And was completely washed out within one week. Her hair is naturally extremely light so this dye should have coloured it. It didn’t.

Easy to use
The dye is so easy to use. My teenage daughter loved it. Blue didn’t take too well but the other colour looked fab. She would recommend it.

Stunning colours
Non-drip, leaves hair feeling lovely and brilliant colours. Still got compliments on my hair as it faded. Blue fades to a teal so would recommend only using if wanting it long term.

Great colours as always
I have bright pink (flamingo pink) hair and have had for decades, so fancied a change. The lagoon blue is a gorgeous colour, really vivid - i currently have a streak of it through the front at one side and i love it especially against the pink. The purple is also nice but not as striking.I have used Directions dye for a very long time and keep coming back to it whenever I try anything else. It's gentle on my hair and easy to use, plus a tub goes a long way for a very reasonable price.Happy to recommend. Thanks for reading, I hope you find this review helpful.

Awesome, long lasting colour!
Note: I put this colour on level 9/10 blonde hair for maximum effect. The colours were deep and vivid, beautiful combination! And using a good shampoo (olaplex) the purple lasted 2 months, the blue faded to a light teal after that and lasted another few weeks. The only issue I had, which is usual for green-based colours, was that it was difficult to remove the last remnants of green. I would definitely use this brand again though!

Great colour!
Easy application, amazing pigment and blend really well. I used both colours at once and a few washes later it is still nice and bright. No horrible smells, non drip formula and able to blend easily.

This really works!
I am Asian and have dark brown hair. First I bleached my hair ( the more longer time you bleach the better the colour will take, I bleached for 90 mins). I then washed my hair and towel dried and combs out the knots . Then after ten minutes I started to apply both colours with the help of my daughter. I left the colour in for 40mins and washed my hair and conditioned it really well and when dried, oh my gosh! The colours were excellent because some parts of my hair was not bleach to the desired amount there was 5 different shades of colour that made my hair look like a spectrum of colours. Also the hair looks different shades at different times of day, at night my hair becomes brighter and with the tubes lights also. You can see the difference in the pics, the first pic is day time and the other pics are night time in tube light
