It works! Good Price!
These adapters are excellent! They claim to be KVM compatible and they truly are! I was able to connect two new PCs that don't have PS2 keyboard or mouse sockets to my aging 4 port KVM that has only PS2 keyboard/mouse sockets. I've tried "passive" adapters before without success. These worked first time and so well priced. Very pleased!

Does what it's supposed to
I bought this so that I could use a 25 year-old mechanical keyboard (which of course uses the then-standard "PS/2" type connector) on a modern PC (which only has USB ports). Why, might you ask? Well, I don't want a wireless keyboard, and my old keyboard is quite simply a brilliant keyboard. The key action is wonderful, and it's built like a battleship. It has the added benefit that I can also annoy my coworkers with its very loud keys! It's also better than most of the keyboards manufactured today - and if I were to attempt to find a wired mechanical keyboard these days, it'd cost an absolute fortune. I read bad reviews for some of these devices, but fortunately I notice that this one states that it has a USB chip in it. That's a good thing, because it basically means that the old keyboard and mouse you plug in to it don't have to have their own USB circuitry (which they won't), and also means that the computer needs no special drivers. I plugged my vintage keyboard and a PS/2 wired mouse into this device, then plugged this into my computer. It worked instantly and flawlessly with GNU/Linux, and the computer's BIOS/EFI. I also booted up Microsoft Windows for a couple of seconds, to test it all out, and it worked there too. No configuration, installation or settings needed. Just plug in and type away. Perfect. I just hope it's as durable as my vintage keyboard...

Fine but gaming is an issue
I have two of these and they work well enough. I've used them with a variety of older style keyboards, two cherry and one compaq. Two of these have built in track balls. Under windows 7, linux mint and ubuntu, remoted on to Windows and Solaris servers they have been pretty good. I'm a slowish touch typist and whilst writing code and text they have behaved flawlessly. The trackballs have been supported out of the box. There is an issue with them when gaming which may also affect very fast typist, but that is pure supposition on my part. When a key is held down eventually the key will stop being recognized. Until it is released and put down again. Which means you suddenly have to stop running in FPSs or accelerating in driving games. I surmise that a buffer is full and releasing the key allows it to empty.

PS2 combiner to USB adaptor works a treat.
This USB adaptor lead from Perixx combines hardwired PS2 Mouse and Keyboard inputs, allowing me to touch-type again on an ancient but extremely high quality ergonomic and solid AT104 keyboard with a new W11P laptop. Typing speed has now returned to normal and fatigue has vanished. The mouse response is exactly as one would hope for. It is literally plug and play. Best of all, being hardwired there are no missing key-presses or rf interference glitches slowing down work with either device. Probably not necessary, but I added a small ferrite on the USB lead for belt and braces rf cleanliness.

Did exactly what you want
I don't really love it, but it did exactly what you want, You can plug in an old PS/2 mouse or keyboard and connect them to a modern computer which lacks a PS/2 socket. Works perfectly and has allowed me to continue to use nice old IBM PS/2 keyboards with modern laptops. It extends the useful life of old kit and helps to avoid some unnecessary landfill. I have two of these, and one them died and is now useless, which is a real pain and makes me worry about the other one I have...

Funciona correctamente.

Handy Adapter - Works Well
I have only had the adapter for a few days. I am using it to connect my old favorite keyboard to my brand new desktop computer. So far so good; working perfectly. The adapter seems to be well made so hopefully it will last for many years.

Good kb and mouse connector.
Use this to run my personal ps/2 keyboard from my early pc days. Plug it in and play, no huss no fuss, just straight on keyboard ps/2 port to usb-A connector. Works like a charm.
