This is a brilliant blender. If you’re looking for a daily workhorse to compete with the most popular high-end blenders, this won’t disappoint. We recently purchased the largest model (5XL) and couldn’t be more pleased with the silky texture of our daily smoothies (hypernourishing veg content, plus frozen fruit and seeds) or the perfect professional-grade evenness of our soups and hummus. Plus, the sturdy glass jug makes everything more sustainable and elegant, eliminating our nagging fears about microplastics and heat. ((EDIT after six months: Don’t ram frozen items too forcefully when blending, as this can cause the blade to become disaligned and come loose from the motor action and then leak in a catastrophic way that reveals the device’s Achilles’ heel but is not its fault. If you approach the process gently and patiently — yes, lesson learnt; so sorry, dear Magimix — you won’t need to go through the costly trouble of having to replace the blade. But the customer service is very good.)) This is a beautiful, compact, quiet, and highly efficient machine that offers incredible value at this price point.

Using it for almost a year now and it works perfectly as new, best blender we've ever had, honestly. Auto function is specially good feature. Jug quality is amazing, looks like new after a year of use.

This item arrived “not working” i.e. in “safe mode” Whatever is up with it there’s no fix The inventory specifies there should be a spatula but there isn’t. The manual gives instructions for Bluetooth connectivity but it appears UK versions aren’t equipped for that. Amazons returns procedure has worked phenomenally fast, only took a couple of days. Thank you Amazon!!

Save your money and don’t buy. Buy a salter from Robert dyas. I promise it works better and only about £40. My daughter kindly bought me this blender for Mother’s Day and paid a lot for it. It hasn’t worked well from the beginning and after an impossible time contacting Magimix, they finally took the blender for inspection. They claimed that the blender is in good working order but said the blade, after only a couple of months had gone blunt. They suggested that I was using it for commercial use. I have made it very clear that it is only for my personal use and that I use it only once a day. They are still refusing to look further and have said that I am using it too heavily and that the blender otherwise is working. They sent a picture of my blender showing it had been used as evidence-I never claimed I didn’t use it ! Furthermore, they have passed the responsibility to Amazon for any possible refund . I will contact Amazon but I’m presuming it would be to no avail. I feel incredibly disappointed . I will never recommend Magimix to anyone.

I bought this blender mainly because I wanted a large glass jar with a real usable 2 liter capacity. For that specific need, it works well. The main positives are the large glass jar, good power, and reasonable noise level for a high powered blender. It is still noisy, but not unusually loud for this type of blender. I also like the removable blades. They are easy to take apart by hand, and all of the parts are dishwasher safe, which is a big advantage. The blender does have a few downsides. The blades feel a bit thin for very dense smoothies, so thicker smoothies can take longer than expected. Sometimes I have to run the smoothie program two or three times in a row to get the result I want. The small top cap also does not lock in securely, and I would prefer a twist lock instead of a friction fit. The jar does not lock onto the base. It feels fine in normal use, but I would personally prefer a more secure locking mechanism. My main concern is the drive connection point under the jar. It looks and feels flimsy. It works fine so far, but it does not feel as solid as I expected from a premium blender, so I am not fully confident about long term durability yet. Overall, I am happy with it because I specifically wanted a large glass jar blender that is easy to clean. I would recommend it for that use case, but it may not be the best choice if your main priority is making very thick smoothies.
