Rusts but quite strong. Would recommend and the value for money was good and the thickness makes it easy to use.

Very strong wire- perfect for using to train your climber. Only slight problem I had was although it’s easy enough to cut with wire cutters( normally part of your pliers) it was a bit difficult to wind it around itself to fasten off the lengths. Hands and fingers not as strong as they were. Good stuff though

Found the 1.6mm wire idea for mending wire mesh fencing. Found it easy to work by hand and cut with standard pliers, which was great. The wire as delivered is quite shiny but seems to dull/tarnish (but *not* rust, it just goes a dull grey colour) after a few days exposure to the Scottish weather. That's ideal as it blends in with there original fencing wire.

This review is for the Bulk Hardware BH00327 Galvanised coated 2mmx20m Garden wire. I bought this to help train some plants and for general tying back of vine etc. in the garden. The wire is as stated in the description. It is Galvanised to protect from premature rusting etc., but is not plastic coated or anything, just wire. It comes in a 20 meter length, supplied in a thick plastic sealed bag, and is secured into the wound up form using a couple of pieces of the same wire as ties. The maker is good enough to warn that there may be sharp edges and you should take precautions or wear gloves. Note: when you release the ties, the wire will spring out unless you are cautious and hold the wire as you untie. The wire is nicely strong, but can be bent with your hand unless you want a small radius bend, in which case, a small set of pliers or needle nose pliers work great. I tend to cut a length, and then use a pair of needle nose pliers to bend the end onto a shape similar to a shepherds crook. This allows me to sink it into the earth and put the top curve over any plant branch that I am trying to train in a certain direction. I have also used it on some framework to train some vines horizontally. Quite happy with my purchase, and did buy another one exactly the same when I ran out. Pity it didn't come in 40meter rolls, but no biggie given the price and speedy delivery. Would I recommend them to friends... YES Would I buy them again... YES I would. Problem I found with this wire was it has limited use when outdoors, it started to corrode in places, so I think it's use is somewhat limited and certainly the galvanised coating isn't particularly effective - or perhaps it was only my batch?

I bought the Galvanised Coated Garden Wire to attach to mesh wire that I wanted to place over an air vent pipe at the top of our building. We had an issue with squirrels getting inside through the pipe, so I needed a reliable solution. This wire is very strong and worked perfectly alongside the mesh wire I purchased to accompany it. It held everything securely in place, and I feel much more confident that the squirrels won’t be able to get in anymore. If you need a strong wire, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this one.
