CLARKE METALWORK BENCH GRINDER/SAND BELT 6 inch

This is a very useful tool for my home workshop. Really pleased with this Clarke item.

The grinding wheel sucked and the machine died within a year, it wasn't even used that much because it was weaker than my other belt sander, but I tried using it there today and the damn thing just refused to start. So I won't be buying anymore Clarke products.

Item arrived i in the usual brown amazon box. But the original grinder box was torn squashed and kinda messy as of its jag been in the back of a store room. The product itself was fine. Metal construction 🚧 with few guards to put on, the instructions are pretty rubbish but it merely takes common sense to figure it out. The sand belt was not aligned correctly in the slightest which made it jam up initially, once in tangled though I was able to adjust. All in Al a good bit of kit but make sure it's booked down as our is unbalanced towards the back

Pretty poor really, and the construction isn't brilliant. Very under powered sander and not for gettin in too.

Screws on belt guard rubbish, Too soft, need to replace them. Belt hits back of guard, needs bent away from it. Belts are bumpy against back plate, back plate needed adjusting but the bumping is really the problem with the seem on the cheap belt although apart from that the belt should do the job. A draper belt sorted it out. under powered in my book, I know this because after this was tested I got a draper 370 watt, Way Way better machine for £23 more.The Clarke will do as a buffer with a slight modification done to it. would I buy again. No. Luckily my son had another use for it.

... ma comunque un gran bel prodotto. Ovviamente il motore non brilla ne in potenza ne in spunto all'avvio, ma se avete fretta nei vostri hobbies... allora cambiate hobbies. Comunqe una volta avviata va molto bene e fa il suo mestiere in modo onesto e corretto. io uso prevalentemente la scartatrice, che è il motivo primario per cui l'ho acquistato. Mi rende molti servizi che prima dovevo fare con il flessibile, ed era anche pericoloso. Non abbiatevene a male, ma onestamente, non capisco chi si lamenta del mancato allineamento del nastro. Anche il mio era leggermente disallineato (premetto che ho preso un prodotto amazon warehouse, quindi già oggetto di qualche cliente poco paziente e/o forse troppo esigente), ma regolando, un po' di astuzia e un po' di perizia, il nastro è andato a posto e gira senza problemi. Se posso dare un consiglio, evitate di (s)ragionare partendo dal presupposto che se tirate a morte, si dovrà allineare per forza. E' esattamente il contrario. Basta infatti allentare un poco la tensione, la puleggia superiore esce dalla deformazione in cui era costretta dal tensionamento troppo elevato et-voilà, il gioco è fatto. Il nastro è in linea e lavora bene. (effettivamente la debolezza strutturale della parte alta del meccanismo del nastro è evidente da subito. bosogna ssolutamente evitare di metterlo sotto sforzo, altrimenti ogni sforzo ulteriore risulterà vano). La mola di cui è dotata di base è onesta. Magari, personalmente, l'avrei preferita a grana un poco piu' fine. ma per le punte ed altri usi, va comuque bene. In negozio l'avevo vista a 60euro, qui l'ho presa ad un prezzo inferiore. per me è OK. Danilo

Buon prodotto, abbastanza professionale, solido

La smerigliatrice a nastro è un po' debole come potenza, se si spinge un poco il pezzo si ferma quasi subito, il ferma pezzo non si blocca e come il pezzo lo spinge tende a chiudersi sul nastro bloccando il motore. Lo uso esclusivamente per la lavorazione del legno e da problemi già così. Immagino che col metallo non vada proprio. La mola invece è ottima e fa il suo dovere anche se mi aspettavo si potesse modificare l'inclinazione del poggiapezzo per una molatura più precisa. La macchina è pesante e solida nella sua costruzione. Un prodotto discreto nel rapporto qualità/prezzo per la fascia hobbistica
