Rentokil RKLFM89 Beacon Mouse & Rat Rep Dual Action

I had a mouse scratching in my living room ceiling recently so bought 2 of these ....one I plugged into a socket in the living room....and the other in a socket in the room above the living room ..... and within a day....no more scratching. Then two weeks ago in a bedroom in another part of the house there was again scratching in the ceiling. I bought another repeller and plugged it into a socket in the bedroom....once again within a day no more scratching. So on the basis of the evidence I have so far ...they seem to work. Only slight negative is I wish the nightlight could be dimmed or even switched off because it's rather bright and the ticking sound they emit can be a bit noticeable say in quiet locations....I've now grown accustomed to the sound so no big deal really.

Well, I am not sure it works as I have not entered my loft since install. That said, I have not any evidence that rats or mice have returned, so that good news

When we plugged in the rat Beacon we were already on top of killing the rats in our Kitchen. We also had 20-40 ants to kill on the work surfaces each morning when we arrived in the kitchen. The first morning after installing we were ant free and have remained that way for a few weeks. We were so pleased that we purchased another Beacon for upstairs. After two weeks or so we are finding ants are returning from time to time in small numbers. They are difficult to get rid of with normal ant killers that we had been using without success for a couple of months since moving into this house. Yesterday we had rats scratching again behind the kitchen plinths and that is rather disappointing as we had hoped the beacon was sending the rats to someone else's property. It looks like we will have to resort to traps and poison again. I had really not expected that moving from the country to a town would be like this. Never had rats in the house whilst living in the country for most of my fairly long life.

Have had 2 of these in my attic for 4 weeks now, and they have made no difference at all. I even opened the lids up so rats could have easy access, but they just go up to the bait box, look, and walk away again. I feel that I have wasted my money. Absolutely useless

Customers who expect instant results from devices like this may well be disappointed. I live in a very old house surrounded by fields and generous populations of field mice voles and even rats. I have two lofts and an ultrasonic device in each, always on. Mouse activity? Yes, occasionally but nests? No. The latest purchase for which I am writing this review is in the garage to dissuade 'visitors' from nesting in my car engine which is a trick they have just tried, for the first time. This will most likely stop them on the evidence I have from using such kit for the last fifteen years, at least. So my experience and advice is, be patient. Mice may still turn up in various places but they will not stop long and are exceedingly unlikely to nest with a suitable ultrasonic device in use nearby. They learn to avoid the area. This Beacon product is too brightly lit for bedrooms etc I think but I expect it will join the other US devices I have in deterring mice NESTING, and I don't sleep in the garage so the light on the device is not a problem.

This really works. No sign of mice or their presence since plugged in two years ago. Recommended.

J'ai acheté ce pour dissuader les souris du bureau, mais la fiche est l'anglais est donc un mauvais départ, j'utilise un adaptateur mais il ne fonctionne pas vraiment à mon avis. Nous avons encore des souris. C'est comme ça

This product is not pet friendly. When it was plugged in our Border Collie that was lying on the settee got up, looked worried and went to the furthest point in the house that it could get to and was shaking. When the repeller was unplugged the dog returned back to normal. This item must emit an ultrasonic frequency that our dog can hear. The cat was totally unbothered by it.
