Tried and tested review
I purchased this chicken coop on May 2014- it is now 6 months on; I wanted to wait a few months until it had been thoroughly used and tested before I gave my `customer report'. I'm pleased to report it was a great buy. Very good value for money, sturdy, practical and fit for purpose. I adopted three rescue hens and researched various chicken coops; each claiming some unique selling point - some cheaper and some more expensive. This coop will comfortably suit four hens (I have Rhode Island Reds) and they are medium to large size hens.(they sleep in the coop at night and roam our garden during the day) The coop arrived as stated; flat packed in two large boxes. The instructions were easy to follow and within just over one hour my coop was built. The entire coop was sturdy enough for my husband and me, to lift it onto three concrete paving slabs. Our three hens took to the coop immediately. We removed the centre nest box divider because our hens prefer to huddle at night. During the summer we removed the perch and laid hay on the galvanised metal pull-out tray for the hens to stretch out a bit more - which they love. In the summer we left the sliding door open - but didn't have to worry about predators as we closed and locked the main door. Now we're moving into winter we close the sliding door and leave the two air holes open for fresh air. We were hit by Red Mite (those notorious critters that can plague the cleanest hen house). Eradicating it took time but was made easy by the coop's construction. We removed the tray and the square planking underneath (easy as they're designed to easily be removed for cleaning). Plus we pulled out the base of the nest boxes. We decided to use table salt by spreading it on all bases and along all crevices. This was repeated every week for a month. Whilst the salt corroded some of the screws and a little of the metal tray - it worked - no more Red Mite. It was easy to clean and keep clean - so important for healthy and happy hens. We have had some extreme weather and our coop has withstood the strongest winds and the heaviest downpours and it still looks great. The wood enables the coop to weather and dry naturally. The only suggestion I would offer is to have larger screws for the nest box hinges; as ours gave up after our children opened the nest box many times a day checking for eggs. My husband replaced them cheaply and effectively.

Well made product, fast delivery but not suitable for larger birds.
Really pleased with this product! Arrived much earlier than expected and well packaged. Little disappointed with the cost of delivery but after researching the best coops on amazon for an evening, I kept returning to this one regardless. Easy to put together and good quality apart from the lock which didn't work at all and would have been too flimsy anyway. Easily fixed with a ยฃ1 lock from Wilkos instead. House section is actually a bit too roomy for my two bantams but they love it!! Would not recommend as a coop for keeping chickens in for a long period of time however. I purchased this as a house for my two newest additions who have been very much bullied by the rest of the family. They now have their own space to sleep and a place they can call home when the big girls are out in the allotment. Definitely recommend the product but not for keeping birds in for longer time periods. 4/5 stars because of the delivery cost and the lock issue.

Faultless for the price!
Bought this to replace a ยฃ250 hutch I bought last year and have hated ever since. This was easier to assemble, had all the right screws and all the holes were perfectly aligned. The wood looks and feels great and the overall hutch is sturdy enough that we were able to carry it without worry. I ordered on Thursday and it was delivered Saturday. I have two mini rex rabbits in it and it's big enough for them, like other reviews mention just check the description for accurate measurements as the pictures make it look larger than it is. My boys are happy in this immediately! I don't know how it will last but as it seems better quality than my last hutch, which is fine at over a year old, I suspect it will be okay if I take precautions in the rain.

Made in China
Ordered it on the Tuesday and it was delivered on Thursday, so that was reasonable. Came in two boxes and was very well packed. The assembly was very easy as it only took about 30 mins to put together, instructions very clear although apart from giving a list of the bits and identifying screws they weren't needed for assembly. IMHO the seller is being somewhat misleading in the advert, the name and pictures could lead you to think it was a UK made quality product, it isn't. It's made in China and in all honesty while it looks good now I think after 12 months of sitting outside in UK weather it's going to be struggling. The timber used is very, very light. The netting is also very light and I doubt it's going to stop an adult fox intent on getting in if left alone for a couple of hours. The screws provided are long enough for holding the hutch together along with the wood dowels although but when it comes to the run they are too short and just pulled straight out so I had to replace those with longer ones. I will also reinforce all corners with some metal corner brackets as well before putting the roof on. It is small, you do need to read the dimensions given and NOT go on the photos! still, all said and done it should do the job I bought it for. The hens are all nice and cosy in their coop and run already and have been for about 3 years, but we have 9 chicks who are now about 4 weeks old and have another bunch about to hatch in the incubator, they would be too small to move in with the older birds but they are too young to move in with the general population yet so they will be going into this run for a few weeks as they grow.

Easy to assemble and sturdy but treated wood has a strong smell to it so make sure to air it out before moving in the chickens
I received this yesterday (9/8/2017). On the box it said model "Monmouth" instead of Wentworth so I was worried I had gotten the wrong product but it was exactly the same as pictured here. It was incredibly easy to assemble. No parts were missing, all the pre-drilled holes were there and everything fit neatly together. Overall it took between 1 and 2 hours to assemble this with the help of one other person. It's possible to do this alone as well, it doesn't require two people in my opinion. It's a very sturdy structure but light enough for me to drag it across the garden by myself for repositioning (I'm 1.60m and not very strong). Last night it was raining heavily but the inside of the coop was completely dry this morning. The wood is treated and therefore had a very strong odor to it. I'm glad I assembled this several days before the chickens are moving in so hopefully the smell will disappear by then. Very happy with this purchase and looking forward to its new occupants.

EXTREMELY Disappointed
The image that is shown of this product is extremely misleading. We wouldn't even put one chicken in there let alone the recommended four. There are huge gaps between all the joints even with expert help from my father-in-law who is an engineer, helping to put it together. Its overall structure is very flimsy and frail, when we screwed the provided nails in (which were too short) the wood split. The size is awful, like i mentioned earlier one chicken would have been cramp. Luckily we had an old guinea pig run which we extended onto it, to try and give the chickens more space or rather just space. On the first day of having our chickens the ramp had broken (much to their surprise!). After 3 days of our AVERAGE sized chickens laying in the nesting box, the wood had split and the screws had fallen out, making the box come away from the main structure. Do NOT buy this coop unless you want the hassle of having to spent a further couple of days making it bigger, having to constantly repair it, to keep it habitable or just enjoy unpacking something that on a picture looks enormous when in actual fact is tiny. VERY disappointed, not fit for purpose. To be honest its a scam. This 'coop' is not worth a penny now we have to try and find a new hutch that is actually decent and worth the money. Enjoy your chickens! They are very rewarding and loving with the right house :) Ours do seem to like to be held and be away from their 'coop' which won't be there much longer whether thats due to it completely falling apart - wouldn't be surprised! :D or just because we put it in the bin... Wouldn't even give it one star but thats not an option...

Great product fast delivery.
We got this cage to house 3 ferrets. Plenty of space. Although ours are allowed out in an open space aswell when supervised. It's the size as listed in the dimensions so anyone expecting bigger didn't read it properly. It's not tall enough for adults to stand in (as measurements indicate) It's a nice solid hutch. No gaps and heavy roofing. Instructions were easy to follow each step clearly shown. All fixing provided. Secure for the night once door is pushed over with very useful handle. Wouldn't think there is enough room for more than 2 rabbits or chickens as there isn't hopping/walking/running space really. Where as ferrets like rope bridges etc so they have toys creating play space on multiple levels. Great value for money. Would buy again in the future but think this will last plenty long enough!!

Good product but needs additional run
Sturdy, well designed and perfect for my 3 chickens. Not sure it would fit 4 and it needs an additional run which we built ourselves and added on to the side of the coop. I agree it's not as big as the photo would suggest and I wouldn't keep my chickens in the small area unless they were getting to free range during the day. We built an additional run for extra space for them to move around when we're out and they get to free range when we're home. It was easy enough to build and it comes in 2 packages ( we only received one initially but the second one was delivered the next day).
