I have a water butt pump connected to a soaker hose. Will this stop my water butt losing water (still siphoning) when pump is off as it is doing now?

Hi thank you for your enquiry. If you connect a normal hose to the pump and fit this fitting then connect the soaker hose, it will act as a water stop when disconnected. This fitting will stop you losing water if you disconnect the soaker hose. The stop fitting will stay open if the hose is connected when the water pump is turned off and it may siphon.

How to connect 12.5mm hozelock hose?

Hlod the grey end and unscrew the orange/yellow end. Place the grey end over the end of your hose and put the end of your hose into the yellow end. you will see a circle in the middle with an outer circle of teeth, these grip the hose, so the end of the hose needs to be pushed between the two. Once this in on, pull the grey part back up the shaft of the hose and screw it back into the yellow part until tight. Hope that helps. Dennis

When connected, does it let water IN the hose as well as out? Need a tap connector that won't let the water drip out from the hose when disconnected

This goes on the end of the hose. So no water goes out unless the stop valve is pushed back by another connection or fitting like the spray.

How do you attach the hose to a hazelock connector plus

Hi, Firstly, you need to ensure that the hose is cut squarely and cleanly across. Then unscrew the grey plastic section out from the yellow section and slide it onto the hose.  This will revealwhere you need to push the hose into the yellow section between the exposed 'teeth'.  Make sure that all of the 'teeth' are on the outside of the hose and that it has been fully inserted. Then simply slide the grey piece back up the hose and screw it back tightly into the yellow section.
