Great dish
Love this dish because my cat does! She's 10 and I didn't think she'd respond to dish switching well, but she was scarfing it down like wild after some coaxing with treats. We were using a puzzle dish wherein kitty would have to dig the food out of little holes. This was working for a while as she used to eat way too much and she'd eat less. Until eventually, I guess she decided she was too old to dig the food out, because she'd cry till I'd dig it out for her and only have a few bites. She's overweight and all but like 20 pieces of food a day is too little and I hate drugging her to increase her appetite (and she hates being drugged). She eats like a normal cat now, and since the dish is so little the 1/3 cup of food in the morning looks like a lot and she eats it slowly and I don't have to fill her dish with her second serving until 9pmish. Her old dish was low profile for her whiskers, though not at the angle she liked eating at, and she really seems much happier with less stimulation on her whiskers. The dish is ceramic and (mostly) nonskid, super easy to clean, doesn't get a smell, and the little food ripples are really great for keeping the food right in the center, where my extremely picky cat wants to eat it. Food around the edges of the bowl looks empty to cats and they just whine with a half-full dish. No more constant fussing with the location of the food. Since it's ceramic it's also safe to use with wet food. My loaf won't look at the stuff so I don't know about how it is with wet food in the application. tl;dr: pros: cat loves it, easy to use and clean. cons: none so far

Very nice bowl
Nice bowl. The silicone bottom is separate from the metal bowl making it easy to clean. Both the bowl and bottom are nicely made. I know the bowl is supposed to be shallow to ease whisker fatigue but our kitty tends to push food over the edge and on to the floor. A deeper edge would be helpful.

winning the battle against whisker fatigue
After reading about whisker fatigue, I purchased five of these bowls for my cats because I'm that person. While I can't exactly ask my cats if they feel the bowls are an improvement, the bowls do look uniform and modern and have been easy to clean (even when feeding mousse or bisque foods- just soak them in warm water for a bit and things loosen right up). My big concern was whether these bowls would trigger cat acne but, so far, I haven't noticed anyone in my feline squad having any issues. Occasionally one of my cats will nudge food off the bowl since there isn't any lip but that's why I also bought a silicone placemat. They actually seem to eat more of their food with this shape since there isn't a lip for food to get pushed up against. My only minor quibble is that the gummy glue used in adhering the label peeled off easily on a couple of the bowls but was hard as cement on a few others but since the glue is underneath the bowl, it isn't anything that interferes with the cats' usage or is even a visual issue. Overall, I'm very happy with the appearance and quality of these dishes and would purchase them again or recommend them to others.

Great design for whiskers
My 18 year old cat with CKD seems to like this design. She can get at all the wet food without leaving it around the edge, as with her traditional bowls, or falling off the sides of flat dishes I also have used to help her whiskers. I mostly feed her freeze-dried raw food, which has to be thoroughly hydrated, and I occasionally mix in supplements. To do these steps effectively I have to use a regular bowl and then scoop it into this bowl. The occasional canned food, to which I also add water, can be mixed in this dish (more easily in small amounts). The non-slip bottom works well, but because her food mat is not slippery it's not easy to slide the bowl. The cut-out hole is very helpful. Although I only use glass or high quality stainless steel pet bowls, and prefer products made in the USA, I bought this high-priced, ceramic bowl to ease my cat's feeding stress. I was apprehensive about it being a ceramic made in China, but CatGuru was very responsive and assured me they follow high safety standards. I took one star off because of the extra step in food prep and because it was made in China.

Kitty eats better, good design
Kitty eats better with this bowl. The ridges help keep the food inside the bowl, and the shallow design means no whisker stress. Stable with small grabbing bumpers on the bottom. Interesting material, very easy to clean. I recommend, and I might get another.

Good purchase
I bought the stainless steel bowl. I am using this as an extra bowl for an automatic feeder I have and it works so well! I love how the food naturally slides down to the middle to make it easier for my kitty to eat it. The bowl is heavy duty. I am happy with this purchase. Edit 5/4: I did not see that you could buy two bowls at once for such a good deal. What a bummer - it's such an expensive but great bowl. I suggest you go all in and buy the two pack - you won't be disappointed. You'll only be disappointed if you're like me and could have gotten a second one for cheap but didn't realize! haha!

Cat and I both love it
I feed a feral cat who always acts like he’s starving, he gobbles and always has to rush through. Result is he pushes as much off the plate as he eats. My own indoor cat is a dainty eater so I’ve never experienced this, had no idea how to solve it. I was searching for a heavy dish that didn’t move easily and one that sat flat on the surface without a raised edge like typical bowls or even saucers have. I got tired of cleaning up the wasted food that got pushed off the plate and wound up tucked just out of reach under the lip of the bow/plate. Even though I’ve fed this cat for 2 years…..twice a day every day, as a true feral, he’s still cautious of humans and won’t approach the food until I go in the house and makes sure I closed the door. So I can’t rearrange the position of the food dish or scoop up the food once he starts eating if he’s pushed it off the plate. This bowl solves all the problems. Note, it came with a note from the owner saying the newer bowls comes without the silicone strip that pops on the bottom rim, instead they send a silicone mat with the newer versions to keep it from sliding. They added that if I preferred a mat, let them know and they’d send one right out. I thought that was a good idea and pulled off the strip and just placed it on a silicone mat I have. No slip, but really this is such a nice heavy bowl I doubt it would move anyway. This bowl is so well designed. Because of the graduated sides, the juicier part of the food would stay at the bottom so not likely to get pushed out and slop out the edges. There’s also a cut-out on one side so you’ve got a spot to slide a finger in when picking the bowl out. How clever. Since it sets so flush to the surface, it would be hard to pick up otherwise. A note from the seller encourages you to reach out to them if you have any questions, issues or problems. Great customer service. Great product. My feral eats every bite and licks it clean without losing some over the edge. This is a very heavy duty stainless steel, very easy to clean, and won’t harbor bacteria like plastic can. I didn’t want to use glass outdoors so this was perfect. I really love this.

Nice but not sturdy in white; recommend stainless steel option
Nice dish and easy to clean. Combined with the riser it helped my cat eat better. But just after 1 month the dish broke when it slipped out of my hand and fell from about 3ft on the floor. I replaced it with the stainless steel version of the bowl and out cat loved the new dish! She eats her wet food much better and seems to eat more at ease. Dry food will spill a bit so we only put small amounts on the dish and rather refill at times in the day - helps with better weight control that way too. We do use it with the little riser which also adds to the cats comfort.

Best cat plate we've tried
Ideal cat bowl/plate, and we tried many before. Our cat is so happy, and I can tell, because she no longer puts the food on the floor to eat it. Only dry food sometimes spills over, but only the tiniest amount. I got the metal bowl which is so easy to clean. The silicone base prevents the bowl from sliding. It can be elevated if needed with a separate base, but for now I think it's okay as is. You won't regret this purchase.

Great, perfect for cats big and small
Great quality. My cat has long whiskers and is quite sensitive to different bowl shapes and sizes. These are easy to hand wash. Don’t absorb food smells or stains. The non slip feet still attached, and it’s been awhile, which is better than some other brands! These bowls are not “no spill”, but I don’t think there is a bowl in existence that won’t spill when a cat is eating!

Katzen gerechtes Fressnapf
Meiner Katze gefällt das Napf gut, frisst gut davon. Lässt sich schnell und einfach säubern und ist rutschfest.
