Fitted the item myself as I previously diagnosed the elements had given up the ghost, meaning tumble dryer was drying towels and no heat could be felt. Bought this item as it fitted the model number on the tumble dryer. New elements exactly the same as original. The only slight issue is the connector plug is slightly different as it could be connected the wrong way round, I just made sure the same coloured wires on plug and socket matched each other. Tumble dryer works perfectly. Saved buying a new tumble dryer. Good quality part. Good supplier.

My tumble dryer had been blowing cold and I annoyingly left it and left it, trying to dry washing outside - but with the weather change I definitely needed a tumble dryer back in action! For £20 odd and an hour of my time, I was able to easily fit this new Element/Thermostat and hey presto, back in working order - and if anything it feels hotter than it ever did before. As mentioned, incredibly easy to fit, literally a matter of screws and disconnecting the old one and connecting the new one. The worst bit is the casing on the tumble dryer itself and trying to access where you need to get to. You definitely don't need to be an engineer to fit this part, just capable of using a screwdriver and a bit of patience. Saved myself a lot of money, rather than hiring an engineer and being charged more than quadruple for parts and labour - or having to buy a brand new dryer! Quick delivery, good packaging and would absolutely buy again, thank you!

Fab product and even better price. Would be 5 stars but the connector in the picture does not match what is on the product. Looking at other reviews I'm not the first to notice this issue. Old connector is simple to swap over so not an issue as I kept the old unit incase this happend.

Excellent! Connector is not correct for model TCM580 (think you're expected to swap for old connector from your model to make sure it fits - tried it without swapping but it didn't work). WIres can easily be removed with a pair of long nosed pliers and swapped for those in the old connector (squeeze the wire tongue and push out the wires, then carefully lift little tab on wire tongue before putting into old connector ) - see photo for the tools I used on the old burnt out heater element. Just done my first load and it worked perfectly on low heat - wife checked for dryness and had no complaints, although she didn't seem as happy as me at saving about £200 on a new dryer (think one place quoted £100 to fix it). By the way biggest problem was removing the dryers lid - undo 2 screws at the back and then give the front of the lid a hard slap with the heel of your hand; this knocks it loose.

This item saved the day... Well so my wife said, after our condenser dryer gave up for the third time in its life by “letting the smoke” quite dramatically out of the thermostat. A quick search found this item and due to the time of ordering it was delivered 2 days later, by which time we had a drying pile that rivalled the north face of the eiger (we are a large family). Quick to fit straight forward, just a plug making the electrical connection and just two screws holding it back on to the air duct. It quickly was set to work and has been great to date. Would recommend purchase based on my experience.
