Check before lighting. Smelt gorgeous, but the lids don't fit securely. I thought it odd that the thick glass rim at the bottom of the jar wasn't even, it looked like the wax was lower on one side than another. On further inspection, you can see there is a crack inside the inner glass wall, where the wax has leaked inside the glass jar, obviously when it was poured. Bought 2 of these in different fragrances and both jars were the same. Seems like the wax was too hot for the jar when it was poured, caused an internal crack and the hot wax leaked into the inner wall. The video shows this more clearly. No wonder so many reviews mentions cracks and explosions. These were on BF offer but there was no mention in the listing that they are sub standard or mispours. Struggling to believe these are genuine Yankee candles. And if they've passed any fire regulations at all. Returned both.

I always use Yankee candles, and have used the fresh cut roses scent a few times in the past, however, the one I have received has no scent at all and even after a few hours of use the only smell I am getting is of the wick burning! Is this old stock? Really disappointed in this!

Fragrance can t be faulted but burns like a bonfire my short video proves what i have said, I do believe the wick is at fault but would have thought all the testing etc before going on the market would have shown this problem Would not buy again as the cost of £20 dosnt warrant it i will therefore revert back to Air Wick which do not have this problem

The throw is extremely weak I don't smell much rose. It sometimes smells smokey / burnt. Very unpleasant. If I sniff the unlit candle, it smells very fake. I trim the wix and I allow it to burn for at least 2 hours every time I use it, but the candle is still smoky when it burns. Maybe this is a faulty candle, because all of the other Yankees I have smells great and doesn't give out smoke. It lasts you a long time, but I mostly use it as a decoration now rather then lighting it for the scent. The quality of this definitely disapoints. Do not recommend.

This is the first time I bought a jar online.. I absolutely love the fresh cut roses scent been using it for years.. this was so disappointing no scent at all.. just a smell of strong petroleum.. so disappointed as these are not cheap to buy.. I won’t be buying this again on here.

I have purchased these many times and wanted to stock up as they are my favourite. This last batch arrived all marked as “seconds.” In bubble wrap instead of the usual boxes. I would not mind that as it’s the scent I buy them for. I lit one to check the scent - nothing! No scent at all. I wondered if I was just becoming immune to it so put it next to one from my previous batch - night and day! My last batch the scent is still strong even though there is only a couple inches of wax left to burn - these have no scent at all. The description does not state that seconds would be sent either. Terrible!

Gave Yankee another chance, wish I hadn’t. I ordered fresh cut roses hoping I would get some fragrance from it for valentine’s I was wrong. Cannot get any smell unless I stand over it. They really have lost their way, will not buy ever again.

Having purchased Fresh Cut Roses Yankee Candle many times in the past I know the scent well. My recent purchase has no scent at all. I tried burning it to see if it would improve it did not. It is just a pink unscented candle. Considering the price I am extremely disappointed. Too late to return or I would be sending it back. Will not buy again!

Ich bin eigentlich ein großer Fan von Yankee Candles, war aber bei „Fresh Cut Roses“ erst etwas vorsichtig, weil Rosendüfte oft sehr künstlich oder nach „Oma“ riechen. Hier wurde ich aber positiv überrascht. Der Duft ist wirklich sehr authentisch, fast so, als würde man die Nase direkt in einen Strauß frischer Rosen stecken, inklusive einer leicht grünen Note, die es frisch macht. Zum Glas und der Brenndauer: Das große Glas ist natürlich ein Brocken. Die Brenndauer wird mit bis zu 150 Stunden angegeben, und nach den ersten paar Abenden kann ich bestätigen: Das Teil hält gefühlt ewig. Man muss aber unbedingt die "Yankee-Regel" beachten: Die Kerze sollte jedes Mal so lange brennen, bis die gesamte Oberfläche flüssig ist (der sogenannte Pool). Wenn man sie zu früh ausmacht, brennt sie tunnelartig nach unten und man verschwendet viel Wachs am Rand. Duftintensität: Der Duft verteilt sich gut im Raum, ist aber nicht so erschlagend wie manch andere Sorten. Ich würde sagen, er ist eher dezent-elegant. In einem großen Wohnzimmer bemerkt man ihn nach ca. 30 Minuten deutlich, aber er löst bei mir kein Kopfweh aus. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt: Was mich bei den großen Gläsern mit nur einem Docht manchmal stört, ist, dass die Flamme zum Ende hin etwas rußen kann, wenn man den Docht nicht penibel auf ca. 3-5 mm kürzt. Da muss man wirklich hinterher sein. Außerdem ist das Glas sehr tief, wenn die Kerze halb leer ist, braucht man definitiv ein Stabfeuerzeug, sonst verbrennt man sich die Finger. Fazit: Wer Rosen mag und eine Kerze sucht, die nicht nur zwei Abende hält, ist hier richtig. Das Design im Apothekerglas sieht zudem auf dem Sideboard einfach zeitlos aus. Ich finde die Creme-Creme-Variante der Creme zwar immer noch ein bisschen besser, aber der Rosenduft ist für den Frühling und Sommer unschlagbar. Würde ich trotz des stolzen Preises wieder kaufen, da man wirklich monatelang was davon hat.

Love the smell of Roses and the candle is delightful. I light my candle every evening. It is in the middle of my coffee table and the whole living room smells of roses. I have purchased a lot of the Roses smell and will purchase a lot more.
