Easy to apply, lasts ages
Been using this paint for years on our high traffic wooden floor. I re-coat every 3 to 4 years or so. For best results remove ALL grease off the floor as this is a water based paint (the grease will throw the paint off). Also properly shake the tin as the pigments settle in transit and sat on the shelf, fail to shake and you’ll be painting with basically water. I always use a mini emulsion roller (long handle) to apply and it always comes up even and beautiful looking. The whiteness is spot on and the soft satin sheen is perfect. When I painted the bare wood for the 1st time I gave it 4 light coats (don’t try to cut corners and put on heavy, the paint will lift. All in easy to apply, lasts a long time and is virtually odorless.

Good, but…
Good product but multiple coats are needed. I have followed instructions and added 3 coats. Definitely not enough… wood was still showing as the paint is soooooo sheer. After 4th coat I gave up and added coat of heard-wearing wall paint and added 3 more coats of Ronseal paint on top. Stairs look great now, surface is strong and easy to clean. If I would only use this paint, it would require at least 10 coats to ensure they are well covered.

good product but arrived open
This product is very easy to apply. I painted a bare wooden floor, three coats provided full coverage.I also purchased the product that comes with the applicator and used that to apply it. The applicator worked very well and did indeed speed up the process. Each coat was dry within 2 hours if not sooner. (Painted during warm temperatures). The low odour meant we could use the room almost straight away.Unfortunately the paint arrived open in the box. The tin of paint was dented and the lid had popped open. Most of the paint was caught by the heavy duty bag surrounding the tin so there was almost no leakage into the box.The box was undamaged, it looked as though the tin had perhaps been dropped whilst being packed and the lid being open was not noticed. There were two catches attached to the lid, they had acted like hinges.I was able to pour the paint back into the tin and reseal it. I don't think a lot of product was list, it was just a bit messy.

Waste of my money
I have original floorboards that had been painted light grey by the previous home owner. I sanded down, primed, and then proceeded to paint 6 coats of this paint (it's so thin) onto the floorboards, making sure to follow all instructions. Once it was completely dry, it took less than 24 hours before there was a chip in the paint, and it's gotten worse ever since, whether it be from dropping something on it, moving a plant pot, walking in shoes over it. I have a dog which hasn't helped at all. It also doesn't clean well, and with the help of all the chipping, looks really dirty in high traffic areas even though I sweep and mop it every day. I don't recommend this product if you have a dog or want to actually walk on your floors.

Bare wood floors - flaked off immediately
I sanded and cleaned the wooden floorboards of our new home.I applied the paint with a painting pass on a stick, it was thinner than expected but I wasn’t going for pristine I was simply trying to create a virgin floor until we could get new carpets/laminate.Immediately it became clear that in some sections the paint had shattered and wiped off like dust.I don’t know why. It’s not the whole floor, about 10%.Besides that I am happy with the finish for my own needs, but I might have been tempted to keep the boards if it had taken the paint better.
