Fence & Decking Paint Sprayer | For fences, sheds, decking, garden furniture, Covers 5 m² in 9 min, 1400 ml capacity, 460 W, 1.8 m hose

We have a large privacy fence which is a MAJOR pain to paint - especially by hand. We'd had this fence fitted a good couple of years ago, and have had it as a painting project for a good couple of summers as well! Living in Scotland, the Summers disappear as quickly as they come so finding the time to spend hours and hours and hours to pain this awkward fence was challenging. We are due to renovate our garden and decided that now was the time to revisit the painting monstrosity from scratch. I used a roller to paint the front slats and then started the painstaking process of painting the sides of the slats, and then what is effectively a second fence behind ours by hand with a brush (I hope this makes sense). Having spent hours and several weekends completing bits that hadn't been done previously I had pretty much finished the job except for one side that needed slat sides and the 2nd (back fence) painting - this is where the frustration came in. I needed to use a 1/2 inch brush to get through the gaps in the slats and it was at this moment I decided enough was enough - I'm buying a sprayer to complete the task (should have done this months, if not years ago!!). The fence was built by 2 separate traders so there is a slight difference on one element of the fence in terms of the gaps in the fence slats - one could be painted by hand (which I had) the other absolutely not - not with a 1/2 brush anyway!! (I have a 3 young kids, I work away a lot and our lives are very busy so time is short and very precious - just incase you're wondering why its taken years to paint a fence) Spent some time on Amazon and B&Q reading reviews and came across this product. I was apprehensive as we'd had 'professionals' come and quote for the job and advised against using a sprayer - weather conditions impacting, finish, consistency etc. I didn't want to spend a massive amount given I'd done most of the job already, but didn't have the patience to continue - so I picked this up whilst on offer (£58). I didn't need to water down the pain as actually the 2.5 litre Cuprinol (Urban Slate) paint already seems to be very watery - I'm not sure if that's by design or not (the 5 litre is far thicker). It arrived next day and now I was simply waiting for the right weather and moment to start the job!! The moment had come, the weather was good - sun was out, slight breeze but I was committed to getting this done - The renovation will start in a week or so and we go away for a week, so I had to just take the plunge!! I put everything together which is super easy, filled the canister with paint and pinged on the power and then WOW. This thing is exceptional for the cost. It sprays evenly, consistently, no clogging, very little spray excess (there was a light breeze), clean, effective coverage - it was just a joy to use! Don't get me wrong, after a short period of time my arm was aching, that's not a product issue, that's holding a heavy paint in a canister moving up and down. I'd completed the work I wanted to do within 30-40 mins (it would have taken days by hand) and then I decided to continue to 'touch up' the rest of the fence that had been painted in stages over the years which had elements of a green mossy substance starting to appear - mostly the side slats and the inner fence. Well, needless to say I'd repainted the whole thing within another hour! I couldn't believe how simple this process was and I'd kept saying to the wife exactly that - I cannot believe how quick and easy that was and why didn't I do that sooner!! Anyway, I hope this review helps if you are looking for a Fence/Decking sprayer to do the job - this thing is more than adequate! I'm already excitedly deliberating my next project!! Best £50 I've spent in a LONG time!! Fantastic product, easy to use and most importantly - a major time saver!!!

Let's just say, to paint my backyard fence and if I manage to get to the front sides you can't see in the video with brush and roller, it usually takes me 2 weekends ( I recently replaced about 40 slats 2weeks ago). Just for context you can see trees over my fence...that's a pain because after the winter the fence goes green as well. With this sprayer it took me just 6hours, I managed to do 2 coats as well. At the beginning I probably wasted 10% of my first paint bucket before I learnt to use less trigger force. After that, it was a breeze. Best sprayer ever and an excellent price point as well. Easy to assemble (there are loads of videos on youtube), very easy to clean as well. Highly recommend this Wagner product to anyone.

Used it for the first time today. Applied Ducksback to my decking. I watered it down about 5% as it was an old tub I’d had a couple of years. Worked a treat, great coverage and easy to apply👍. Make sure to clean the unit out after use and blow through with clean water after. Great sprayer, pleased I bought it.

Excellent did the job in no time .and cleaned holder and put away in box Ready for next time .a lovely bit of kit .

Don’t normally post reviews. This sprayer is amazing. Makes light work of the job & applies even coverage. Fence looks great. Can adjust velocity. I was worried about droplets everywhere, but it’s really good & targeted. I’m a woman painting a lot of fence solo & this has been a god send. However, what it doesn’t do is paint the actual fence for you! I actually bought another 1200 paint holder to interchange. This proved to be a great idea & saved time. I used Wickes fence stain, no dilution , just pour it in. Get a small cheap jug

This is a seriously useful piece of kit! For years I’ve always brush or roller painted fences and sheds etc, but increasingly tired of the time and effort needed. Having been impressed using the sprayer to paint a new shed (with Cuprinol Garden Shades) I decided to try it on a 30m length of picket fence, originally brush painted, which had taken forever it seemed. Wary because of the inevitable overspray, and planning to use Protek Royal Exterior, which is very thick, I decided to give it a go anyway. Old paint was jet washed and allowed to dry, areas behind and just in front were covered with cardboard to catch overspray and the paint thinned down approx 15% and off I went. The result is brilliant! Still hard work, and some paint inevitably lost to overspray but the finish after two coats is brilliant and all done in one day. Cleaning up takes a little time, and it’s crucial to make sure there are no lumps in the paint (either use a new tin of paint, or strain if it’s been previously opened) but it’s a job well done. Thoroughly recommend the sprayer (and Protek paint).

Absolutely delighted with this! Used it over the sunny bank holiday as fence and shed painting season is upon us again, and honestly, this sprayer is a total game changer. Within 3 and a half hours I had completed 3 fences and a full shed with 2 coats of Ronseal Quick Dry — something that would usually take me around 3 hours just to do one fence by hand. It’s easy to set up, simple to use, and made the whole job so much quicker and less tiring. I’m genuinely buzzing with the results and actually wish I had more to paint because it made the job enjoyable for once. Highly recommend!

Great product, would highly recommend, easy to set up and use, sprays well, easy to clean. Only slight gripe would be, id of liked a larger paint container as after a panel or so I was refilling the container.

Nun habe ich mich auch für eine farbsprühpistole entschieden da die Holzhütte mal wieder Farbe brauchte. Die Farbe wird in Windeseile rausgepustet so das man angenehm flott vorran kommt ein großer Vorteil wär es wenn man den Eimer Farbe einfach an das gerät Schrauben könnte , aber man kann ja nicht alles haben . Ansonsten wär noch zu sagen das Gerät ist natürlich laut was aber logisch ist wenn luft angesagt wird .

Great product work really well saves a lot of time painting fences. One small complaint I have is the volume of paint the pot need to fill often other than that it’s excellent
