Colgate Proclinical 250R Whitening Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush (With 2 pin bathroom plug)

I bought two of these for two teenage boys. At first I was surprised by how small the heads were. However, they were found to be easy to manipulate around the mouth and do a great job of cleaning. The vibration sensation is quite tickly at first but the noise made by the brush is very low. The toothbrush needs to be plugged into a specific two pin charging socket which is what you would expect. It comes with a neat case so you can keep it protected when not in use. The battery seemed to last for a couple of weeks, at least when new. I bought replacement heads from Amazon at the time of purchase and would expect these to be readily available. The timer function is extremely useful for teenagers whose two minutes often reduce down to 30 seconds! Overall a great toothbrush and well worth the money.

Love this product, and at this price, you can't go wrong. Small brush head gets into hard to reach places. Good battery life - I sometimes get 2 full weeks and I brush 2-3 times a day. Charges quickly, so unlike bigger brushes that need 16-18 hours to charge, this one is done in 6-8 so if it runs out at night, it's ready again by morning. The charger is small and lightweight. The protector for the brush makes it ideal for travel, and the brush just fits inside all standard airline washbags, so it's very portable. Can't recommend this brush highly enough. Oh, and it cleans exceptionally well: since I started using it, I haven't had nearly as much plaque build-up on my teeth.

I bought this as it seems to be the replacement for the old Pocket Pro and the similar completely white Omron branded "250" toothbrushes, that were previously my go-to brushes for several years. The power is great, the size is great for portability, and if you can find someone selling it for under £30 then the price is bearable. Overall I am very happy with it. However, there is one huge letdown - this is 2023, and there is no option for USB charging. WHY!?!?! Every cheap, junk Chinese toothbrush has USB charging. I would use one of those, except the last one I tried was very underpowered compared to this brush. Instead of USB charging, we get a heavy, bulky, fat-leaded shaver socket plug. I don't have a shaver socket. I have to use an adapter and plug it into a regular mains socket. And if I travel abroad (and the size and weight of this brush is excellent for travel), there likely won't be a compatible socket. I assume the reasoning is something along the lines of waterproofing, but the Chinese toothbrushes get by fine with a little rubber plug cover. Please, please do something other than the horrible shaver socket charger. The old Pocket Pro toothbrush had a USB-to-induction charging case and that was fine. I even found a smaller generic induction charging base that had a USB socket, that weighed all of 20 grams and would fit easily in my travel wash bag, and that worked fine too, but these new 250R brushes take a different size charging "prong" than the older Pocket-Pro and are no longer compatible. Oh, and make some different colour versions too, okay? Preferably that don't cost twice the price of the standard colour. Xiaomi have PINK.

This is my first electric toothbrush, and I was very sceptical, especially given the subsequent tie-in to over-priced replacement heads. But I came across a consumer review elsewhere of various models: this one came out top and it was on offer here at a big enough discount to give it a go. I must say I am stunned at how much better it is (or, at least, feels) than an ordinary manual brush. You can focus on placement rather than actual brushing, and it feels to have been much more effective. Teeth look shinier afterwards too. So I'm rather pleased with it. The svelte size and travel cap make it practical for taking on trips too. Although charging is via a sealed unit using an induction coil, so that does have to go along as well if more than a few days (no way to plug it in to anything else) and it can be a bit wobbly, since the brush simply sits loosely and vertically over a rounded peg on a little platform to charge.

This is my first electric toothbrush which I bought at the recommendation of my dentist since I wasn't brushing my gum line & back teeth well enough. Mind you, they recommended the £50-60 one, I wasn't going to drop that much on my first electric brush. I've had it a month now and I do feel the difference from brushing with a manual brush. The best thing about it (in my opinion) is the timer, it pulses every 30 seconds to remind you to move to another area of your mouth and switches off after two minutes. The battery lasts well, about 2-3 weeks after charging overnight. The toothbrush is quite wobbly on its cradle as others have said, but as long as it's on a stable surface then it isn't an issue. I personally think that this is a fab toothbrush, especially for the price. Whether my dentist will agree or not is a different story...

Well, I really don't know what to make of this toothbrush. The charging, ease of use, set up, design, and overall feel are fine, just as advertised, but I'm very uncertain about its long term use. I was seeking something different from Oral-B, whose products I really don't like- I think they're trying to dominate the market and despite what dentists say I don't find them suitable for my unusually small and tightly packed together teeth. I very much like the small head and soft bristles of this one, as another reviewer has said it feels much less like putting a kitchen blender in your mouth. But why, oh why, are we stuck with vibrating and/or sonic heads? Why on earth can't manufacturers devise a rapidly rotating head, a bit like Oral-B's, but without the hard bristles and without the hammer drill action? I want to clean my teeth, not shot blast them. Having said that though, this does do what it says on the box and in the blurb, and as such I do half-heartedly recommend it.

Love this rechargeable toothbrush! Slim and neat design with a cover, ideal for slipping in handbag or travelling. Charge lasted me a fortnight of regular brushing. Fast vibrating brush gives good, refreshing clean and polish. Stops automatically after 2 mins. Replacement heads bit pricey for my liking but should last a while. Note: comes with shaver-type 2 pin plug, so you will need a 2 to 3 pin converter plug to use in uk. I bought one very cheaply from my local hardware store.

I've bought a few electric toothbrushes over the past few years and this one hasn't taken long to become my favourite. Compared to the others, which are mainly fine, this one is slim, light and goes for a long time on one charge. It cleans well but is gentle with my gums and, unlike some others, doesn't feel like you're putting a kitchen gadget in your mouth. It's a definite advance, I'd say, and good value for money.
