Fantastic gift! What I really love about this more than other similar toys is that these feel and looks more classy. A lot of the similar toys look cheap and nasty to be quite frank but this doesn't! Not only that but each 'toy' can actually be used as a real bit of kit! This can help train your child into doing mini chores which will benefit them when they are older. Another great feature about this toy is that the design is elegant and stands tall, therefore not taking up too much space unnecessarily.One more point that I may add is that it's very stable and roughly the size or a toddler.Pros:- Elegant design using the appropriate amount of space.- Can be used in real-life situations.- Manufactured well and strong.Cons:- I am genuinely struggling to think of a con (I am usually good that this!) but one possible fallback is the limited choice of colours.

I’m a massive fan of Melissa and Doug and these don’t disappoint. My daughter wanted a cleaning set but she’s a little heavy handed so I knew those plastic sets wouldn’t be up to the job and be broken in days . I ordered this and it’s awesome. All made of wood and nice good quality brushes and mop head and duster head . Looks really attractive, is strong and realistic. My daughter plays with this every day . Brilliant set highly recommended

Since I purchased this set in May my toddler (14 months) has played with it every single day! He adores the mop, it's his go to you! They are very well made and robust. They get plenty of bashing around by my boisterous son. The storage rack is fab and looks great too. If your child enjoys cleaning and tries to grab your mop or sweeping brush then this is an ideal gift!

Got it for my 2 year old as a Christmas gift and he loves it. He always finds something to clean now :) It’s perfect size for a 2-3 year old. The stand that the set comes with is super handy and the little one is getting into the habit of hanging things when finished playing! I stationed it in the kitchen and must say it looks really lovely - gorgeous bright colours and nice old school feel. Very good quality too.

Decent enough. Hours of fun pretend "cleaning". Makes no difference to your children's desire to actually tidy up, however, and can cause small dents to appear on the wall when they've used the (incidentally a bit wobbly) main stand as some kind of jousting stick.

Absolutley LOVE this set!It's so sturdy and already in a week it's taken a beating from my toddler and nephews banging it on the floor etc. Plastic ones always break in 5 minutes and for £20 its absolutley worth it. Itll last for years and years. Even the dustpan is strong that's plastic but it's so tough! Absolutley reccomend for everyone elses roughians

My kids love "cleaning" the kitchen. If by cleaning, you mean pushing items on the floor around with a brush. As a Dad this is fraught with danger and a few times now I've taken a standard broom handle to the chops as either my 3 or 1 year old tries to brandish it. I've given them a small brush designed for adults but these never prove very robust. Typically the head ends up falling off, or worse - occasionally the hanger pops off which is imminently chewable. This Melissa & Doug playset is well designed, with everything being one or two large pieces. Nothing falls off, nothing is eatable, they put up with being beaten around.Best of all, when my 1 year old spills his milk, my 3 year old quickly gets "her" mop and cleans it up herself! Result!

Questo set per le pulizie é davvero completo e ben fatto !! La mia bimba di un anno e mezzo ci gioca molto e le piace fare le pulizie come la mamma !! Penso che lo sfrutterà molto anche quando sarà un po' più grande .. ho acquistato diversi giochi di questo marchio e mi sono sempre trovata benissimo . Sicuramente lo consiglio !!

I picked this up close to Christmas for $30. It's held up really well but I have to say, I wish my kids would actually use it for cleaning instead of chasing each other. Watching those two run around with a broom and mop above their little heads is reminicsent of those old pink panther movies. Those really old pink panther movies and specifically those scenes with kato and inpector clouseau. However, when they aren't chasing each other around the house and properly using the set I am very happy with it!! It's a toy that allows them to share, to participate in their own small way and helps develop cooperation. Its a worthwhile toy to invest in. Even if it were $40, I would have paid the difference. It keeps them busy with plenty of options and wood is so much better than plastic! It's been almost 6 months since we acquired this little set and I don't have any regrets. Melissa and doug toys are amazing. I only wish they were around when I was a kid.

Wonderful toy cleaning set made out of wood, fabric and minimal use of plastic. Light and easy to handle for our toddler at age 17 months. We embrace the Montessori philosophy and find this toy great for introducing cleaning tools to learn how to hold and move them - although they are thought to be for imaginative play. It is important to note, that the cleaning tools cannot be washed and do not tolerate water well. So it really is a starter toy for learning how to name and hold the individual cleaning tools, and for getting excited about cleaning in general. Once our daughter has mastered the handling of these, we will move on to "real" cleaning items that can be used with water.Our daughter picked up the dust mob immediately and without showing her how to use it, started pretending to clean the floor. At first it was difficult for her to hang the items back on their stand, and to get them down from the stand - both caused for some frustration. But after showing her how to lift the string slightly from which the items hang, she is now able to do so herself. This again has been great for learning new motor skills.We are very picky about security in toys and furniture, and there is nothing in this toy that concerns us. Wood is smooth and rounded. The stand is heavy enough to not tip over, but light enough for our daughter to lift it up and carry it a bit around to her preferred place. It was very easy to assemble and sturdy from the start. Our daughter is in the stage of banging things on the floor now and then, but these brooms are sturdy and hold perfectly. It is worth mentioning that some of the fabric - especially on the orange duster - comes out when in use. So we have some orange fabric pieces laying around on the floor every once in a while. For children who still put everything in their mouth, you will need to keep an eye on them while they play with this.All in all a great toy for imaginary play as well as learning how to handle simple cleaning tools and being excited about "helping" out. However, due to the fabric pieces falling out, the toy needs to be used under supervision, if your child likes to taste everything she finds on the floor.
