Whilst I love this and the effect it produces, it is not the easiest to work with and will need practice. The icing needs to be fresh and very soft or it causes the bags to split and leak out. When I use it next time, I will be putting all 3 piping bags into another bag as it was very difficult to twist all 3 and pipe and direct.

Works perfectly and results look just like the picture - so long as you use bright colour icing. Tends to use a little more icing than regular piping because you have more stuck in the nozzle where they come together, but just compensate by making a little more icing than you think you'll need, or put it on a little thinner than normal (but who wants to do that? looks so much better when it's on nice and thick and bright).My only small niggle, the pieces only fit together in one order, if you want the colours in a particular order you have to pay attention to which bag you are filling with which colour. For most people this isn't going to make a difference, but it's worth noting.

Honestly I could not get the hang of this! Very frustrating to use - the tips eventually ended up being pushed through (several times) the piping bags leaving a very big mess. Had to cut the bottom of the piping bags enough so the screw part of the tips were exposed allowing it to screw properly onto the coupler. I did eventually get it to pipe about 12 cupcakes before the bags fell out again and whic point I just spread the icing on by spoon.If you can get it to work without any hitches it is a great piece of kit but personally, it's not worth the hassle.

Not being one to read instructions on simple gadgets, it took me a moment to realise that the three white bag individual bag nozzles have different size notches, so there is only one way that they can fit together. Important so that the thread for the main nozzle and locking ring to attach to is properly lined up. Like I say, I am a beginner. I made two batches of macaroons and wanted the multi colour effect for a bit of fun. I found it really easy to do. The plastic piping bags can be folded back for filling (I balanced the whole thing in a bowl whilst filling with the macaron batter). Very happy with this purchase.

Well done! Used to do this DIY style. Was easy to assemble. I used piping bags i have at work, which are thicker than the ones provided. Saved a lot of time and mess. 49 cupcakes in 7 minutes! Before used to take about 15.

I’ve been wanting this product for a while but hesitated in buying. That all changed when I borrowed a friends to use.It can be a bit fiddly to assemble but once you’ve mastered it. It will take a few goes.This will enhance your icing skills and take it to a new level. Not only will it impress your friends but the complements you’ll get back will take your ego to a new level.Buy this product if your looking to impress

I was happy with this item, it helped me pipe tri colored cupcakes relatively easily. I'd say you need to be a beginner to intermediate level baker to use them. If you've never piped cupcakes before, squeezing three 16" bags at once and creating the right swirl pattern might be difficult. You could always try on a plate first, though.

This is a very nice addition to my cake decorating arsenal. The unit makes very nice swirled icing designs. (See the Wilton website for examples). It is a bit difficult and unwieldy to assemble and use, but makes excellent designs. Especially nice to use with the new color system that Wilton has developed. Even if you have little to no experience decorating a cake, or cupcakes this unit make it easy. Please read the instructions on the Wilton website before purchasing. The package comes with two tips and several bags, so you are ready to go, but it only uses the larger style tips.
