Fantastic product. Well worth the effort.
The car is getting some lockdown love and clay was something I've heard of but never had the time to do. I gave the car a good wash using Meguires ultimate wash and wax using 2 bucket method then set about getting the car clayed up. The stuff ie easy to use I used half one bar. I Played with it in my hands for a minute to warm it up then use some of the detailing spray that comes with it to spray small sections and work the clay over the body work. This takes stuff off the car you cannot see with the eye and leaves it feeling smooth. No point in going to all that effort and not sealing it with something so some hybrid ceramic spray was applied afterwards. I’m going to start doing this as required to keep the pain in the car looking good. It’s well worth the effort and the beesing is great! Edit- I would actually recommend the new Meguiar’s hybrid ceramic wax and detailing spray to do the same job. It’s easier to use and did the same job. I’ll keep the physical clay for those hard to get spots. But the spray stuff looks to be easier for the same job

If you love your car...
I have been detailing my cars for a long time now, used many different brands but fair to say that Meguiar's range is top. Clay bar system is simply the process to remove contaminants from the bodywork. Tree sap, oxidization, tar, over spray etc. Guessing you already know a bit about washing hence looking at this product and i could go into a lot of detail but i'll offer my two pence ! This is how i use it, wash the car as normal (snow foam it if you can) using 2 bucket method, rinse and leave wet, then panel by panel just spray the mist (you wont need much mist as the car is still wet) and make sure each panel is properly lubricated as incorrect clay bar use can scratch the paintwork. Apply hardly no pressure and rub the bar on the panel like your using an eraser, you'll hear a slight coarse sound as the contaminants are being removed then dry that panel with a good quality microfiber cloth. Knead the clay to find a clean side and carry on throughout the car. You can also use on glass, once the whole car is completed wash the car again, then dry as normal. I blot dry the body with large microfiber towels and never rub to dry (just an old habit) Rub lightly with your hand across the bodywork and you'll see that it is like glass, beautiful. Clay bar does remove wax so it is very very important to apply a wax afterwards or else the paintwork is unprotected. Once you've waxed it the finish is amazing, when it rains the water will repel and the car will stay cleaner longer. I use the clay bar a lot and no matter how new your car is, it will get contaminated being outside and driven so clay barring is a great way to keep the bodywork in tip top shape. In this kit you get 2 clay bars (slightly fatter than previous kits) the detail mist and a microfiber cloth which is always handy The Meguiar's range is massive, all their products are fantastic. Highly recommend ! Thanks.

Great product, does an excellent job, but hard work to do it properly
Brilliant stuff, never heard of clay-ing a car until mine got covered in overspray from an engineering yard and they refused to do anything about it. Google led me to this product and it did a fantastic job, not only removed the overspray, but also years of grime. The bodywork is looking better than it has done for years. Not an easy job though, several hours of elbow grease (although I did the whole thing twice) The kit provided enough clay to do a BMW Estate twice, with about half a block to spare. And it was extremely satisfying to feel the grime being removed. Just be careful not to drop the clay onto the ground - it might pick up some grit - so best to discard any bits you drop,

Better than I thought
When I first got this I was like "man" it will scratch the car and when I first used it did look like it did. However I had a better look at it looks like the car was already in that state and the previous owners had placed wax on top of wax and hid all the scratches. Once I got rid of all the junk on the car which included tar, wax, dirt it looked good. After a wax it looked amazing. If using this for the first time EVER take a place on the car that is not so noticeable and try it out there. Once you got the hang of it, it does seem like you have been doing it your whole life. Also you will use the clay once and you will see the dirt come off into the clay. Do the same spot again and you will see more dirt come off. It is a good product but as mentioned in other posts do only once or twice a year as it does take a bit of time and as a first timer I was worried about scratching the car. Once the wax was on which took longer all was good. ALSO USE A GOOD WAX.

Amazing result
I bought this over a year ago with every intention of setting to my ageing Honda Accord with its swirly marked and lacklustre paintwork but could not find the time. This week, with good weather, I took the plunge. Initially I thought this was going to be really messy what with the detailing liquid and sticky clay but surprisingly not. I found the whole process straightforward and relatively easy. I was even able to leave waxing the car to the following day, so clean was it when I had finished with the clay. It was when I had completed waxing (with Zymol rather than their quick wax that came with the kit) that the fruits of my labours were revealed. The finish is just astonishing with a glass like finish and a depth of shine that I didn't believe was achievable. All the swirl marks are gone, the paintwork is as smooth as silk and even a few light scratches have disappeared. Worth the outlay and effort? Without a doubt.

Fantastic Product To Improve Car Paint Finish
Was a little dubious about using this product, but oh my word, what a difference, absolutely blown away. I followed the instructions that came with the kit and was staggered by the results. The paint finish under touch went from rough to glass smooth and the dirt and imperfections removed by the clay was surprising and clearly evident to see. After running the clay over the entire vehicle I finished with a good coat of water activated Carnuba wax, gave it a chamois dry and the car looked showroom again, not an imperfection or swirl mark anywhere, faultless. I have an ‘09 car with black metallic paint - which is difficult to keep looking pristine - however I noticed over the following weeks that the dirt seemed not to stick as much, the car stayed cleaner and shinier for longer (something noticed and commented on by friends and family) and even after it’s next wash some 3wks later all it took was a basic wash, chamois dry and the car looked like it had just been polished again - and still not a blemish, mark or swirl in sight. Will invest in some of the premium Meguiar wax shortly and it again before the winter to make sure it is fully protected for the harsh conditions. Brilliant product, couldn’t be happier

Amazed by the outcome
Never heard of clay bars before....after reading up on Supagard and thinking "If I could do it myself, where should I start?" I came across clay bars in the process. I tried it today for the first time - did two attempts and was still at it by dusk such was my enthusiasm for what I was seeing. Suffice - I was quite amazed at how much dirt it pulls up and the result was quite simply brilliant. It 1. gets the dirt, road tar, bird mess off pretty easily 2. it's so much easier to do than elbow grease efforts, 3. it's reusable, so represents a great stepping stone to getting what was tired paintwork looking refreshed. Love it - hooked on this forever now.

Great Product
I recently cleaned my black coloured car, and found suspicious rust like dots on it, not a few, but plenty of them. I initially thought it might be some pollen or tree sap, but soon realized it was something else, and very difficult to remove. Most likely the car got a lot of rail dust, typically picked up on the road from brake pads of other vehicles. Anyhow, I tried different things to get rid of them, but nothing worked. Then I found plenty of forums referring to claying cars to get rid of this stuff, I gave it a go, and it did the job - and the car looks sparkling at the same time. The process of claying though, one should add is very time consuming, so be prepared to spend some good time doing this. Ideally I would find something else that can do the same job significantly faster, have read about the Iron X and others, but not sure I dare use it on the paintwork. Would be interesting to know though if any good but it also contains a bunch of chemicals I think, so such product may be best used by professionals at their worksites.

Maravilloso.

Meguiar's G1016EU Kit Clay Bar - OTTIMO
Ottimo Kit G1016EU.
