Bought the 5ft 6" model of this rod and have not been disappointed. I have used it a few times using a waggler on a local lake over last summer and over 4 3 hour periods caught at least 16 fish on each outing (including roach, bream, a couple of nice perch and a 2 and a half pound tench. Good bite detection and reaction. Handling is fine and considering i was only fishing about 20ft from the bank casts very well with no tangles. Just remember to pair it with a small reel and light float and you will be fine. Excellent value for money especially when you don't want the faff of setting up a 12 or 13ft dedicated waggler rod as this will just go in the car ready to fish without breaking it down to go in the rod bag.

I'm an experienced angler and purchased this rod to pursue a 'light tackle' approach to fishing tidal rivers and estuaries in my local area, for flatties etc. Its proven to be a great piece of kit in my opinion. Its rated at 40 to 80g casting weight, has quite a stiff backbone but with a slight tip action, making it perfect for this type of fishing. It doesn't buckle under a strong tide, and coupled with a small multiplier or f/s reel with 12lb line and a 2-3oz lead its fantastic. Whilst I purchased this rod for a bit of sport, I'd certainly recommend this as an entry level rod for youngsters learning this type of fishing: Why be lumbered with a huge beach rod when there's so much sport to be had with a rod like this.? Trust me. The rod is extremely well built as far as I can tell from the few times I've used it so far, and for the money its great value. Get yourself one!

Love these little rods. The 5.6ft is ideal for jigging and dropshotting for perch and smaller pike - every fish puts up a great battle as the action is so light. I can understand how some people might snap the tip, but if it's looked after (eg with rod protector sleeves) and not chucked around too much, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't last many years of use. Liked the rod so much I bought one for my son. Just wish there was a loop for retaining the lure when folded.

I needed a Spinning Outfit as I intend to do some serious Predator Fishing later in the year and as I have a good looking, quality multiplier I needed a new rod to match the looks and feel of the reel. I'd seen pictures of the "Abu Garcia Devil" in various Magazines and Web-Sites. The name "Abu Garcia" is synominous with quality and it looked the part. Next job was to trawl the internet and I found the best deal by far, and another name one can trust, and that was with you guys, ie; "Amazon". Best price, prompt delivery and a beautiful rod which I have used once, in "ledgering" fashion of all things, on a small local "natural" Pond/Lake and caught a Roach, three Bream and a beautiful three pound approx., Tench. The rod was so responsive and light in the hand yet I knew it could have handled fish far bigger with absolute confidence, it would have been my knots to let me down. I love it and believe that it's paid for itself already. Look-out Winter Pike when in Spinning Mode.

This rod is absolutely pathetic for the price. I caught a bass fish and the rod snapped with the fight of the fish. I couldn’t believe how weak the rod was for the price. Avoid buying it. You’d be lucky if it didn’t snap from any sort of fight you get with pulling in your catch - terrible!

I'm slowly growing my collection of abu Garcia rods purely based on their exceptional quality and price point and this rod is a fine addition. The rod itself is beautiful in design and has a premium feel yet didn't break the bank for me to own. The rod has been tested on perch and even pike and had plenty of backbone to handle the fish but with enough finesse that I could feel the subtle taps before the bite. This rod is a perfect all purpose spinning rod whether your are on a large body of water or small. Overall this rod is perfect for all skill levels of angler and at a price that is largely unmatched for the quality you receive. I paired mine with the Abu Garcia promax spinning reel and 10lb braid and it's a match made in heaven.

I'm giving this rod 5 stars because the action of this rod is great BUT it's not all good and something I'm gonna change , the eyes are to small for distance casting so I'm going to put bigger ones on then the abu garcia enticer that I've had for over 20 years and is my most favourite rod that I had to also change the top eye to a larger one for distance casting , I would 100% recommend this rod to anybody who does not go for distance because it is a super rod the action is perfect ( for what I need ) so there it is folks , I'm happy with it so far , Thanks

Premetto che sono un pescatore d'acqua dolce e che prediligo la pesca alle trote. Ho acquistato questa canna per una pesca medio/leggera in laghi con black bass. il casting della canna è leggermente inferiore a quello dichiarato, personalmente ho scelto la versione "7" 2.10mt 10/30 per il lancio di artificiali anche abbastanza importanti. La canna è in carbonio con anelli abbastanza scorrevoli, viene fornita con il classico sacchetto in tela di Abu Garcia su cui sono indicati i dati della canna da pesca, la confezione in cui l'go ricevuta era abbastanza solida e in grado di supportare eventuali urti durante il trasporto. Si tratta di una canna entry level per chi si avvicina alla pesca a spinning o per chi ha bisogno di una canna muletto. Non preclude però un esperienza ottima di pesca anche grazie alla buona sensibilità e al manico in sughero, penso che anche con un qualche pike attaccato se la caverebbe egregiamente. Gut und Günstig. Die Rute ist sehr leicht und zum Barschangeln super, habe sie seit einem Jahr. Spinner und Wobbler lassen sich super werfen, da sich die Rute für Köder ab 5g gut auflädt. Mit meiner 3m Spinnrute werfe ich die Köder genauso weit, bekomme aber nach einem langem Angeltag ein dickes Handgelenk. Der ein oder andere Hecht wurde auch schon damit rausgezogen. Wenn man ordentlich damit umgeht sehe ich keine Probleme.

Inizialmente ho avuto qualche problema, ma ho scoperto essere colpa del mulinello che ho trovato associato da amazon. Consiglio prima di acquistare di chiedere comunque consiglio a qualcuno più esperto nel mestiere che saprà indirizzarvi sicuramente bene. A me è stato comunque confermato che il prodotto è valido e va benissimo per iniziare
