Topo anti-fatigue mat - wish i'd bought it 2 years ago!
OK, I've been using a standing desk for a couple of years. Initially I put up with aching feet but then about 18 months ago I started wearing fit flop sandals and slippers, which were great at stopping the ache but whatever is inside the wedge wears out. Also, continued wearing of fit flops may have given my buttocks a work-out but hasn't done my feet any favours, they seem to be even more uncomfortable in any other shoes/boots. Researched anti-fatique mats and decided to buy this one because i can give my feet a good work out (either in socks or sof-tish soled slippers) and stretch my calves, which are very tight, whilst working. I stand in front of a computer for most of the day and i find this mat encourages me to move more than wearing fit flops ever did so my working posture is better as a direct result. Even if i just stand on the flat surface without using any of the humps/lumps to stretch anything, i get a lot less ache in my feet. Yes it's expensive compared to most other anti-fatigue mats available but I think it's well worth the investment.

Your feet and legs will thank you
If you get a standing desk, you’ll need a mat to reduce fatigue. Not just a flat mat, but one with contours to stretch your feet in different ways and move around with a sturdy material with some give for comfort. It’s not cheap but the benefits are felt straight away and you can use your weight to apply pressure in various places which almost acts as a massage. I stand the entire working day on this and happily recommend it.

Great for standing and working
I use my Topo at home and typically have socks or bare feet. So far I am managing about 3 hours on it and then sometimes switch back to a high saddle stool at the desk for a change. My personal wild theory on more ergonomic working is to moderate and switch sitting/standing rather than just sticking to one approach, so I don't use it all the time and like to mix it up a bit. When in use I find the bumps and raised areas are perfect for stretching out ankles and calf muscles. I often twist and pull my feet over the bumps for short moments to adjust the standing posture for a while. I think like sitting, if you lock into one position for a long period its not great and on occasion I have noticed myself frozen in place and should really be taking a break. I have not used it with shoes on so can't comment on shoe usage, however I do think I would lose some benefit of being able to flex the arch of my foot if I had shoes on, so my preference is for bare-naked feet or sock use.

Helps with standing desk. Good quality needs improvement
Great quality mat! I got this for my standing desk to help with my back problems. It makes standing up so much more comfortable. It really takes the pressure out of your knees and lower back and encourages you to fidget. My main negative aspect is the central tear drop mound. This is very annoying and in the way of allowing me to stand properly. I think for a man with a wider stance it would be fine but for myself it is very annoying. Rubber is thick and you never feel the floor through it. I paid around £90 for this at the time. Since then it has gone up to £275 and £175 from the same supplier. Which is crazy price differences!

Really good!
This thing is excellent! Makes the standing desk a whole different proposition. Keeps me moving around and adjusting all day. Highly recommended

A real boon for standing desk users
Was skeptical about this until I used it for the first time. I love being able to move about utilising the different foot positions, I can give myself a bit of a lower leg workout and the various differing standing permutations ensure that I'm not slouching in one place for too long. Really well made, looks like it will last a long time too. Heavy enough no to lode about, but able to move by foot if repositioning is needed. Worth every penny.

Expensive for what it is but it makes a real difference
I've moved to a standing desk over the last few months and purchased this item after much consideration, particularly given the price - for what is essentially a rubber mat! Harsh but true... However, I couldn't live without it - it really makes standing a lot more comfortable for me personally. I move around on the mat and use the various raised ridges. For me it's a no brainer....

Incredible - do not miss out on this work from home MUST
I have used multiple solutions to aid standing sessions at my desk. This is the first tool I have used which let's me stand 5+ hours a day without interruption to comfort. The back lip in particular is supporting great lower back relief.

My first thought looking at the Topo was "you want how much for a glorified pad?" But the reviews were all so positive, it had me interested. It came well-packaged, and looked perfect, although on the underside it has some color discontinuity, like it was spray painted badly - but the top facing side looks flawless. I stood on it with the plastic bag it came in still on it, in case I thought I might hate it and return it, but the feeling of the pad, with my socks on, was glorious. As I used it, my feel started naturally dancing around the various features, changing my stance every few minutes. Every position change brings a different, comfortable feeling. When I took the plastic off, there was no noticeable odor that I remember, if there was it didn't stick around. I'm very sensitive to odors. This pad goes far beyond just making it more comfortable to use a standing desk. It's the difference between wearing flip flops and wearing the finest distance running shoes. I've had it about a month. I don't think I could go back to a regular, flat pad. My only concern is that over time the features might wear out and give less firm resistance to pressure. It seems too perfectly firm and compliant to my feet now to not eventually, like a fine pair of running shoes, wear out. But I've not seen any complaints about that anywhere else. If it does start losing it's "spring", I would invest in another one. I'm 6'4" and weigh 215 lbs, so I would forgive it failing under such load. It does make some very low scrunching noises, it's not completely silent, but nothing squeeky, which is nice. 4.5 Stars. Well done, Ergodriven.

It's like having your feet massaged while you work at your desk. Absolutely brilliant but please (unlike the ads) remove your shoes!

I’ve used this Ergodriven standing desk mat on hardwood floors for almost 2 years (paid $99). I stand at my desk about 1-2 hours per day, and this has been a major comfort upgrade versus standing on a flat mat or directly on the floor. What I like: Comfortable for longer standing sessions. It noticeably reduces foot fatigue on hardwood. The contours are genuinely useful. The ridges and angles encourage shifting positions, which keeps standing from feeling rigid or tiring. Easy to stretch/move your feet. The raised sections make it natural to roll your foot or stretch your calves while working. Easy to clean. Dirt doesn’t cling much and it wipes down quickly. Minor downsides: It’s rigid and somewhat large, so you’ll want a place to slide it when you’re sitting, or just keep it under your desk if you have the space (I also use it to rest my feet on when sitting). Price is on the high side, but if you stand daily, even 1-2 hours, it’s been worth it for me. If you rarely stand, you may not need something this substantial. But for a regular standing routine on hardwood, it’s a solid long-term buy.
