As I am an utter mingebag I spent £198 on a FreeDOS HP 255 G6, mainly because it was £198 for a brand new lappy without the gopping horror that is Windows on it.Fast forward to the point in time (now-ish...) that I decided to upgrade the RAM; as prices and specifications are confusing, to say the least, all I knew was that I needed DDR4 SODIMM, 4GB already installed, running at 1833mhz, and I knew I had a spare slot, so I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone and get some RAM running at 2400mhz as the motherboard seems to support it.Having ordered and installed these, I subsequently discovered that my laptop was running perfectly fine with these, except still at 1833mhz and as I've alluded to this in my review headline cannot be easily overclocked without a massive deal of faffing around, if at all, with which I can't really be bothered.That being said, my system still works, is running a bit faster (twice the memory now...) with a matched pair of RAMS.In conclusion, a purchase I didn't need to make, but the product is perfectly acceptable and any shortcomings are entirely of my own making.

I needed to upgrade the RAM on my QNAP NAS drive as it was under-resourced from the factory. All that needed to be done was slide off the side of the case, remove the OEM 2GB module from memory slot 1, replace it with one of the new 4GB modules, and then fill the second, empty memory slot with the other 4GB DDR4 module. All that was left was to slide the side of the case back into place and boot the machine up. The extra memory did the job. I read on a forum afterward that people have been able to load 16GB of RAM (2x8GB) even though it is not a factory-sanctioned upgrade.

It’s Crucial, it’s RAM, it did what it was designed to do and at a really good price.

Confirmed as working with the 2017 27" iMac meaning a great memory upgrade at a much more reasonable price than Apple's build to order equivalent.

Wer nicht die maximale Performance für Gaming, Videoschnitt oder ähnliches benötigt, bekommt hier einen guten Arbeitsspeicher zu einem attraktiven Preis geboten. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Bought the RAM for iMac 27 inch, 2017. Easy to install and works perfectly.

Ces deux barrettes sont arrivées sous enveloppe rigide et dans un étui qui les protège parfaitement. Elles m'ont permis de doubler la mémoire RAM de mon iMac 27" 5K Rétina de 2017, en passant de 8 à 16 Go, pour obtenir à moindre coût une accélération sensible des actions courantes (ouvertures de fenêtres par exemple). Je ne pense pas que le gain en vitesse aurait été plus important en choisissant des barrettes d'une capacité supérieure, compte tenu du type de travaux que j'effectue sur cet iMac.L'installation est très facile après avoir tout débranché, les 2 cartes s'entichent parfaitement dans les slots, et le Mac redémarre en réinitialisant sa mémoire, ce qui prend une dizaine de secondes supplémentaires, puis tout fonctionne à nouveau normalement... mais plus vite qu'avant !

ASUSTORのNAS AS6604Tにメモリを増設するのに使いました。ASUSTORではNASのメモリ互換性リストを公開していますが、AS6604T用にはASUSTOR純正品しかリストに無く、しかもとても高いので、こちらを使ってみたところ、問題無く動作しています。AS6604T はメモリ増設は、2スロットのうち１つに追加するよう説明されています。もともと１つのスロットには4GBが刺さっているのですが、こちらは触らない事になっています。ですので、Dual Channelは一般的には同じ型番のメモリを2枚挿すことが推奨されているため、本機種のメモリ増設は、ASUSTORの互換性リストでは純正メモリのみが推奨品として記載されているのだと思います。しかし上述のように、純正メモリは高すぎます。増設用のスロット２は、非常に容易にアクセス出来るようになっているのですが、もともと1枚刺さっているスロットは交換可能なスロットにはなっているものの、NASをかなり分解しいないとアクセス出来ない位置にあります。元々は私も2枚とも交換するつもりだったのですが、私は面倒臭がり屋なので、スロット１の場所を見た瞬間、「あ、無理。」と諦めました。ダメ元で、スロット２にのみ、本メモリを挿してみたとろ、問題無く動作しており、ラッキー！という感じです。既に3週間ほど24時間駆動しておりますが、まったく問題無く動作しています。ASUSTORのNASは過去に使ってきた別の機種では2枚同時交換しても非常にメモリの相性問題が多くて苦労したのですが、今回はすんなり使えて良かったです。ASUSTORのNASの設計レベルが上がって最新モデルでは相性問題が減ったのか、今回このメモリがたまたま相性良かったのかは謎ですが。
