CTE-56260 Ctek Direct Connector Adaptor (6.3mm)

I have a C-TEK XS charger which I use on my motorbike over winter and when I replaced my bike early this year I must have forgotten to remove the adapter from it. The C-Tek is sold with both croc clips and the connector adapter. I ordered up a replacement set immediately I realised I'd lost mine (actually I ordered two so I could put a set on the husband's bike) and they arrived in good time and were put to use immediately. These are the smaller attachments for the smaller posts which are on the motorbike battery - I think C-TEK also sell adapters with a larger hole for car batteries. It is ideal for leaving attached permanently and for me seem better to charge rather then croc clips which could pop off, especially in the really tiny and inaccessible place the battery is housed on the BMW. The leads are well made, sturdy yet diminutive. There is a cap over the end of the plug to protect it from the elements when it is not connected to the C-TEK. I have it tucked under a bit of fairing so it cannot be seen, but it is easily pulled out to attach when the bike is in the garage. The lead is long enough for this. I have used this particular product before, when it arrived as part of the C-TEK charger purchase but is it brilliant that I was able to pick up a couple of spares for a great price and now the C-TEK spends week about attached to each bike and the change over process is quick, safe and simple which is exactly what this product is designed for.

Great Product, I received one initially when buying the Ctek MX5 charger, but this has been fitted to my motorbike, makes it so handy to be able to pop the bike on charge after every run to keep it topped up while sat in the garage, the reason for purchasing another is lately over the winter the Van started feeling sluggish to start, ok I've the crocodile clip version to use, but this means removing the battery cover etc.. so again have left this permanently fitted, so if I feel a charge is required or the vehicle is sat for a week, I can simply plug in and go! .. My only gripe is that they could be slightly longer, as on the bike the battery is stored at the bottom, and the cable isn't long enough to route up to the seat area, but it just means I have to bend down to plug in!... I do also have the extension lead, which I can use for plugging the Van in on the drive and keep the garage door closed :0) ....

Working fine. The wires are stiffer than the more flexible eyelet cable which ships with chargers.

Excellent accessory for the c-tek battery conditioner. It is connected directly to the battery which means it is very easy to connect the c-tek unit. It is very neat and unobtrusive

As with all items from this company it is well manufactured. The insulation on the terminals has a nice soft feel, so it should last well and not become brittle with age. The socket is of similar material and the cap makes a snug closure that should keep the wet and dirt out. I have fitted this on my farm quad so it will get a thorough testing in all conditions and every flavour of muck! I have these fitted to all my road bikes too, they are well worth the money and make charging simple and safe.

These are identical to the tail you get with the smaller Yusa chargers. Means I can connect up the adapter to a hard to reach battery and connect the charger as needed without needing to use crocodile clips. Water resistant? Seems ok, I have one on my motorbike which I have use in the rain on motorways without issue. It is tucked away from the worse of it. I might get a couple more adaptors so I can wire up a leasure battery, always good to make sure that is in top condition before a big trip.

Since retiring from work I use my car quite infrequently and mainly for relatively short journeys so I need to charge the battery more frequently than most people would. This adaptor works well with my BMW charger (made by CTEK) but could have done with being a little longer to avoid having to remove the battery cover each time I want to charge the battery, hence the four stars. I know a longer version is available but this would have been far too long. Ideally for me this would have been better to be between 0.5m and 1m rather than 0.3m long. I measured the diameter of the thread on my battery terminal studs and they are 6mm and of sufficient length to connect this adaptor using additional nuts without having to remove the existing nuts. However the M6 nuts I have appear not to fit the thread on the terminals. The studs may be special to BMW but if other makes do use the same size then it would help if nuts were supplied with this adaptor. I managed to connect the adaptor to nearby a nearby +'ve point and the bodywork rather than directly to the battery as I wanted to avoid any risk of the battery disconnecting if I undid the nuts on the battery terminals as this may require some resetting.

Not much to say about this except it works great with my CTEK 3300 charger to keep everything from ATVs and dirtbikes to lawn tractors and generators to cars and trucks charged up at ready to go. Nice part is you can wire this directly to the battery and leave it on then just access the charger quick connect when you need it (ex. very handy when the kids leave the ignition on with the dirtbikes, no need to remove battery covers anymore for recharging). The wires on this are a bit less flexible than the original quick connect that came with my CTEK charger but nothing that really causes any issues. They are also a tad expensive but compared to the cost and inconvenience of a dead battery I think it's definitely money well spent.
