is this bag sturdy enough hold 2 textbooks, 3 notebooks, and 13in laptop with power cord?

The top tapers up so I dont think the laptop would fit. The books and notebooks, maybe.

How does it work for CCW?

i agree with another comment. they put the CCW zippered compartment on the wrong side. when you slide it around to access it, it is on the underside. if they made both sides off that compartment accessible, then it would work.

how would it handle wearing it while riding a motorcycle to and from work?

I think it would be fine ... and good.. i commute on a motorbike but i dont wear this bag for my daily commute. id say it would work well however because one of the good things with a sling bag is the potential to swing it around the front to access something. the main downside of this bag compared to other simpler sling bags is that there are also cross straps on the back which make access a little more difficult.
