The Office: An American Workplace - Season 1-9 Complete [DVD] [2014]

I really enjoyed the original UK series and was a bit hesitant about the US remake, I still remember the awful job they did with Red Dwarf US but after season two the show really gets into it`s own groove. My wife and I both enjoy the US version greatly, the characters and situations they get put into are always a laugh, it is a real joy to relax in the evening to watch an episode though it is very easy to say "Just one more ... " and before you know it, it`s 1 a.m. and you have to sleep. The boxset is great value and I am sure that once it is not available it will go up in price like other complete boxsets, the cardboard box is a bit flimsy however I have not managed to tear it yet but I did have to be careful. In conclusion this is a wonderful series that needs to be watched and though not every episode is a classic it still manages to to be very watchable. 5 stars for the amazing job that the actors have done in bringing the Scranton Dunder Mifflin office to life!

Great dvd set, super series

This was one of the most consistently funny shows of the past decade. Steve Carrell is a genius, and his and Rainn Wilson's energy elevated the whole show, and the suporting cast, to dizzying heights of comedy. Season 1 is almost a shot for shot remake of the English version, but from season 2 up until Kathy Bates introduction in season 6, the office was consistently the best comedy on tv. If started going downhill near the end of season 6, and, probably sensing this, Carrell jumped ship in season 7. After that, most episodes were painful (I particularly disliked the attention given to Ed Helms and Ellie Kemper's characters, who I could never stand for too long), but season 9 was a marked improvement. The introduction of some young blood in the form of Pete and Clark (love him!) in this season gave it a boost, there were a lot of wacky entertaining episodes, and everybody pulled together to give the show a good send off (with Carrell returning for a final episode - I cried; love you Michael Scott). Look out for the character of Trevor in the final season - one of my favs.

The Office - An American Classic!! If you're comteplating buying this box set you certainly don't need me to tell you how great the series is! Instead I'm judt here to scare you straight! (Prsion Mike reference for those who dont know!) In all seriousness this DVD boxset is a must, the series is great, but the packaging is a little dissapointing as it is simply a cardbox box, that has two plastic cases with the discs in. Obviously this doesn't affect viewing in anyway just me being picky! The DVDs have all the deleted scenes and extra features. Can't recommend getting this enough! In the words of Dwight "Whenever I'm about to do soemthing, I think, 'would an idiot do that?' And if they would, I do not do that thing ." Only an idiot would not buy this boxset, so do not do that.

I read a number of reviews before buying that mention high pitched vocals. Especially in series 1. I can confirm that the sound is a bit funny on the first disc which I had a quick listen to just to check. But I have started at series 3 because that's where I had got to on tv and it seems fine. At the price I wouldn't let it put you off. And it's brilliant viewing by the way.

I bought a used one for a good price. The case has a few bumps and a few minor scratches on the discs but all discs work so all in all everything is fine

Prachtige serie en mega grappig. Komt traag op gang in seizoen 1 maar geef het zeker een kans, het is de moeite waard.

No entiendo por qué no tiene subtítulos en ingles. Es lo más básico. Es una gran pega que no los tenga, ya que está serie es la serie perfecta para aprender ingles de una forma entretenida. Los subtítulos en ingles se deberían añadir. Pero The Office es la mejor serie del mundo mundial, así que ponerle cualquier otra cosa que no sean 5-estrellas me es imposible.

vous ne pourrez pas regarder cette série en VF ni même toutes les saisons en VOSTFR mais pour les puristes comme moi et les bilingues c'est une des meilleures séries comiques jamais réalisées, tant au niveau de l'écriture que du jeu des acteurs
