Nice motherboard with DDR 5 support.
The motherboard is very nice. The bios has to be upgraded to support Windows 11. You should consider flashing the bios prior to installing the OS. If you do not update the bios, you will receive an unsupported error from the Windows 11 setup. This board is not WiFi enabled. The power and reset pins are at the lower edge of the board and are a little difficult to connect. This is the same with most boards. Overall the motherboard overclocking options are detailed. You are able to configure cpu settings, memory settings and etc. This is pretty standard for new Asus boards. Overall a good board for the price. The B650 may not have PCIe 5.0 support. The B650E does. The X670 will have PCIe 5.0 support and 3 M.2 drive support. However, the B650 is a lot cheaper. If you are looking for PCIe 5.0, you can use a B650 board, just make sure it has it. Also, the 650 boards do not support as many M.2 drives and USB as the 670. 650 boards are AM5 compatible. So, make sure you buy an AM5 cpu. AM4 boards are a lot cheaper and the best bang for the buck. In addition AM4 cpus are about half the price.

Returned Product
Would not power on with Corsair 6400mHz memory. Swapped to GSkill 6000mHz, motherboard powers on, won't Post. Tried every combo with swapping memory around, 3 power supplies, 3 video cards, 2 monitors. Tried fully built and with only required components, board would not produce any flicker on the monitor, don't know if bios started or not. All I saw was good reviews and always happy with ASUS, now I'm troubleshooting problems and I'm seeing dozens of reviews that mention no power/video/bios. CMOS cleared and flashed bios 7+ times, board has ez to use flash bios built in, but with no light or notification, don'tknow if it worked. Finally decide to try an in stock MSI Tomahawk motherboard and it powered on, proceeded to bios, and now has an operating system and all updates. In less time than 1 evenings frustration, and there were many of those. I did see odd pins under CPU (picture attached). Not sure it's the culprit, see nothing else that could be the problem. Technician for 40 years now, built thousands of computers in MFG. plants and as side business. Have also been an avid enthusiasts and OC'er over the years. This is only the second time I had to return a motherboard, but am still bummed. Totally stoked the new board runs. Good luck! At this point the hardware was returned, and as this problem is common with the Asus Prime B650, im optimistic on the refund. Pleased with Amazon and the Vendor right now on their support.

Bought used in "acceptable" condition, works after flashing bios.
Bought this in Used - Acceptable for $118, box had everything in it, if anything it looked like someone opened the box pulled the motherboard out and put it back. It didn't run out of the box though, I think maybe the first owner tried to upgrade the bios because it wouldn't post. Luckily ASUS has EZ Flash 3 so you don't even need a CPU to flash the bios. I flashed to the latest bios and it ran just fine. I'm running a 7700X and RTX 4080 with 32GB DDR5 6000 CL32. If you feel you're capable of troubleshooting a MOBO I recommend buying used to save yourself some $.

Bad Memory channel
Bought 2 of these and had tons of problems with the 2nd memory channel. One board would refuse to boot up at all with any ram in the 1st or 3rd slot. The other would boot but would not be stable with 4 sticks of ram at default speeds. It would randomly crash and was plagued by memory errors if the 2nd memory channel was populated. I tried different ram kits in both boards at stock settings, but the stability and memory problems only stopped when I only used 2 ram sticks. Bios updates did not help either. I got these boards because they let you split up the gpu's x16 pcie slot into 4 x4 slots for more nvme drives with an add in card. That feature worked fine.

Lasted a year, not sure what killed it, but it was good while it lasted.
So, while it worked it was great, however, the board failed on me after about a year. I didn't overclock it or anything, and to be fair it still booted, but one of the M.2 slots was fried completely and I was starting to get other board related problems. I don't know if its because it got too hot, if its a quality thing, or if some random thing broke it, but all of the components transferred to a new (Asrock board) and work fine save for the fried m.2 so I'm inclined to believe the board was bad. Was great for a year though.

There were no issues installing this board in my son's build. He loves the look with the white and his white case. There were no issues or errors, and he has been running games for over a year. He mostly plays Minecraft, Fortnite, and Forza and does school work. He does everything he wants it to.
