These patches are a godsend! I've noticed that my cold sores heal a bit more quickly and easily when I use the patches, and now choose them over using acyclovir cream. Having the cold sore covered also gives me huge peace of mind, as the patch provides an extra layer of protection in terms of preventing the spreading of the cold sores to other parts of my lip- or passing this horrible virus on to others. I find that the patches stay put quite well, although if I'm eating a meal or drinking frequently they tend to come loose. But when I'm just eating a small snack like a biscuit or something, and just taking small sips of a drink, they stay on pretty well. On the downside they can be fiddly to apply, and I have wasted many patches over the years due to applications going wrong! And even though they're quite discreet I wouldn't say they're invisible- but then neither is a blob of cream on your lip! At the end of the day there's no perfect formula for managing and getting rid of cold sores- but this is one of the better methods in my opinion. Overall I'd recommend this product to anyone suffering from cold sores. The patches have been a game-changer for me and made outbreaks slightly shorter and more bearable. I also think they're good value for money.

I've had an almost constant stream of coldsores due to treatment I'm undergoing. My most recent one was very large and extremely painful. I've used acciclovir both oral and cream to no avail. I find these little plasters to be far better than any other form of treatment. And they ensure people aren't looking at me as though I'm typhoid Mary quite as much. A fair price for a good product that provides a lot of relief. I've no photos to post, as they are a bit of a jump scare. Very effective at treating and relief and I find they are strong adhesion to the skin.

I think these Patches are amazing and well worth the money. They prevent soreness, itching and scabbing and certainly Heal the sore a lot quicker than cream. They can cover the unsightly sore and can also be covered with make up. The only problem I found was it left marking from the Cold sore on the Skin after Healing which again can be covered with concealer but this does eventually fade. A problem I found was that sometimes the Patch would not connect to the Skin of contact having to pick it of the strip and sometimes getting wasted also I applied the Patch on first onset but it still developed, however still very good and wouldn’t be without them now.

These patches were helpful in managing my cold sores and made a noticeable difference while they were in use. They’re easy to apply, especially with the included applicator, and stayed in place well once applied. I found them particularly useful at night. The patch turns white as it works, which makes it quite noticeable during the day, but this isn’t an issue overnight and allows it to do its job undisturbed. They provided good protection and helped shield the area while healing. One thing to be aware of is removal, it can be a little uncomfortable if you’re not gentle, so taking care when peeling it off definitely helps. Overall, they were effective for me, easy to use, and something I would buy again.

I get an outbreak once or twice a year, I use these every time and they’re just excellent. I don’t bother with creams anymore because you have to reapply so often. As long as the sore isn’t in too awkward of a position, I can just leave these on until the patch falls off naturally, and reapply until the sore is healed. I almost forget I have a sore when I’m using these as they stop the burning and pain.

I don't often write reviews but do feel compelled to leave some feedback on this product... it is absolutely brilliant.... coldsores are extremely uncomfortable and quite painful... the patch makes things a lot more comfortable....I find that avoiding food or drink touching the patch keeps it in place for at least 12 hours....brilliant product

The Compeed cold sore patches do help protect and speed up healing, but I found a few issues. If you put them on the inner part of the lip, they come away quite quickly and don’t stay in place. Also, for men with facial hair, the adhesion isn’t great — they tend to peel off. Useful product overall, but not perfect. Works best on smooth, hair-free areas.

I always make sure I have a box of these stocked and apply when I feel that first tell tale tingle. It’s effective at reducing the spread of a coldsore, and speeds up the healing process by keeping the cold sore moist and protected. I find the adhesive is effective as long as you change it regularly. The size is great and always covers my coldsores perfectly until they are fully healed and helps reduce the pain and tingling during the blistering stage. I would recommend these patches to any regular cold sore sufferers like myself.

Incredibly effective and long-lasting! I rarely get cold sores, so I was thrilled to find out these patches have a fantastic 3-year shelf life before they expire. That gives me such peace of mind! They do an amazing job of keeping bacteria out, protecting the area, and helping it heal incredibly fast. They are worth every penny and work like magic !

Great for cold sores and it’s discreet

I would have given it 5 star if I had received the new version of the patch with the new applicator. I ordered two boxes (from Metropharma shipped by Amazon) and one was the new applicator and one was the old version (expiring in 9 months). The old version is horrible - it’s so hard to put on, the sticker stretches so much that once it’s glued it rolls back very quickly. Waste of money! The new version works super well and it’s easy to put on. The course of the blister is still about a week but at least you’re not suffering during that week! It’s quite well explained in the instruction booklet in a diagram. The sticker stays put for even longer than 12 hours. I would highly recommend the new version, but maybe not guaranteed from this seller.
