Copic Coloring Guide (Copic Coloring Guide, Level 1) Paperback – 6 July 2011

I bought this hoping to learn all sorts of techniques to use when colouring. Sadly, of 60+ pages only a quarter actually deal with techniques and much of this was obvious and previously available on the Copic website. The remainder of the book is all card making projects. Fine if that’s what you’re into but of no use to me. I feel the title of the book is misleading in this regard as it is about making cards with Copic markers, not a colouring guide. I hoped for lots more examples of colour blends, how to get good highlights and shadows etc, but this is covered in a very short section at the beginning and after page 18 no further advice is given. Disappointed and would be returning it for a refund if I hadn’t bought it second hand and very cheaply.

Okay book, a little dissapointed as learbed nothing new. I think perhaps bettet for complete novice. I purchased as new to Coptoc pens.

I had purchased books 2 and 3 before this one, and they offered better tutorials for their lower price. I felt that it was okay but for being more than the later books it should've had more to offer for colourists.

I bought this at Christmas for my sister who is currently in uni. I bought this book as she wanted to learn how to use markers properly for her fashion illustrations and it's been really helpful. Also pretty cheap compared to other places, thank you!

This book is not worth buying. The only way they could make it book-sized is to use giant illustrations and a few words on each page. Save your money and go googling and get the same information for free.

Bought for my daughter, loving creating new things and the ideas that evolve from these.

great book, very useful to a new copic user. in detail writing and pictures for each new technique, this makes it very easy to follow.

This book isn't as educational as it could be. A shame really because what crafters want is a really basic good tutorial.
