Product Description Henna is a great conditioner for your hair. It adds shine and volume and shields hair from further damage by forming a coating on it. It can promote hair growth, reduces hair fall, dandruff and other mild scalp problems. It can be used for colouring your hair and eyebrows. It can also be used for temporary tattoos. It is suitable for all hair and skin types. · Henna is a cooling hair mask so when used in cold weather conditions some may have cold-like symptoms(which should not last) so to avoid that please ensure that the room temperature of your room is comfortable and not too cold. Our Henna Powder is made of just Henna leaf powder from Rajasthan, India (details of where it is processed are given below). This product does not contain any Indigo so if using on its own it will have a reddish orange tone to your grey hair. If you have a darker colour hair it will give your hair Reddish undertone brown color. Customers who are new to using Henna and has 70% grey and you are trying to achieve black brown colour may need higher quantity of Indigo, in such cases we recommend customers to purchase our Indigo pack with this product(image as given below). Detailed instructions are given with the pack. For those who have been using chemical hair dyes and would like to use Henna, we recommend giving a gap of 6 weeks and once you start using Henna try it for few months, so your hair gets used to the non-chemical product. Also, we recommend Henna to be used on a non-oily/ non-greasy hair for it to hold the colour to your hair. We do recommend all our customers to strand test our product, so you know what colour you may achieve especially if you are using Henna based product for the first time. Ingredient: Fresh Henna and Indigo leaf powder Botanical Name: Lawsonia Inermis and Indigofera Tinctoria Guidelines Measurement for grey hair to light brown hair - 60% Henna + 40% Indigo. Measurement for grey hair to dark brown/black hair - 40% Henna + 60% Indigo The more Indigo powder will give you darker blackish colour. The colour will vary according to your hair type. Indigo always have to be used with Henna. Step 1: Directions to dye hair / grey hair: Mix 100 grams (for long hair) of Henna powder with 3 tablespoons of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar or apple juice or chamomile tea. Any one of these product helps in releasing the dye in Henna. Add either yogurt, full fat milk, warm strong black tea or warm strong black coffee a little by little to get a thick paste(image as below). Keep it closed in an airtight container to retain moisture for 6 hours or ideally overnight. It is advisable to use a ceramic or a glass bowl for this mixture as it will not absorb any stains from the mixture. However, the mixture can be used within 2 hours if needed urgently. This mixture on its own will give an orange/red colour to your grey hair. Step 2: Additional information: After 6 hours, you could also add an egg to the mixture. The biotin in the egg helps to maintain healthy roots and follicles of the hair. Step 3: Directions to dye hair/ grey hair to achieve Dark Brown to Black Brown colour If you prefer a darker colour like brown, black brown or black, please add indigo powder to the mixture as below (Method 1). OR: Mix Indigo on its own (Method 2 is a lengthy process) and apply Indigo separately after you have applied, washed Henna from your hair. See below. Review: Excu - Excellent Review: Works well - My hair is naturally black/brown and looks fully black during colder months, but has white hairs sprinkled unfortunately mainly at the front where I can see it and some in the centre. The henna and Indigo mix nice and smooth and was easy to apply and rinse from hair (no big clumps). Made my very dacovered white hairs well apart from the odd colour resistant strands, which dyed more of a copper colour, but this is the norm using hendigo and everyone's hair is different. I decided to retry three weeks later as some of the roots of my white hair looked a bit too bright /coppery for my liking, now they are a very dark copper in sunlight but looks black from a distance or indoors. I'll try adding more Indigo next time. If your hair is grey in places and not white, I'm sure the results will be darker or black but I am happy as I cannot use chemical dyes as it destroys my hair instantly. I will be repurchasing or getting a buzz cut!
