Fab product! It works!
It works and now it's on my subscribe and save for a very long time! 😅 Great product and way easier to scrape that tartar build up of their teeth. This helps slows down the build up and is more natural and easier than using dog toothpaste and dog brushes! Wonderful product! It does the job!

A good addition to your dogs oral hygiene!
I’ve been using ProDen PlaqueOff for a few months now with my dog, and I wanted to share an honest take in case anyone’s on the fence about trying it. I have a cocker spaniel and have always struggled with plaque and tartar on his teeth. Brushing his teeth has been a nightmare — be hates it, and it’s a real fight every time. I was looking for something easier and less stressful for both of us. I came across PlaqueOff through a vet recommendation and figured I’d give it a shot. It’s a fine powder made from seaweed that you just sprinkle on your dog’s food once a day. Super simple — no smell that bothered him, and he didn’t seem to notice anything different in his food. The Results: After about 5–6 weeks, I actually started noticing a difference in his breath — it wasn’t minty fresh or anything, but definitely not the usual “dog breath” funk. Around the 2-month mark, I saw a bit of reduction in the yellow buildup on his molars. Not a miracle, but definitely an improvement without doing anything other than adding powder to his food. The Downsides: • It’s not instant — you need patience. Results took time, and I imagine for dogs with a lot of buildup already, it might not be enough on its own. • Price-wise, it’s not super cheap, especially for long-term use, but the container lasts a while since you only use a small amount daily. Final Thoughts: Overall, I’m pretty happy with it. It’s not a replacement for brushing or vet cleanings, but for someone like me who struggles with brushing my dog’s teeth, PlaqueOff is a helpful part of the routine. His breath is better, and his teeth look cleaner than they used to. Would I recommend it? Yes — with realistic expectations. It’s not magic, but it works if you’re consistent.

Excellent product
Our Lhasapoo had terrible breath. Like mackerel trawler bad. I was cynical that this would do anything but I was amazed at the results. The bad breath has mostly gone and her oral health seems so much better. I can’t speak to whether it’ll benefit long term in respect to decay but it seems to be having some short term benefits.

Yet to see results
2nd pot I've bought and yet to see any reduction in plaque - my dog has a small amount on 2 back teeth, and the discolouration is still the same. As I've heard good reviews I'll stick with it at least until the end of this pot.

Easy to Use with Noticeable Improvement
The ProDen PlaqueOff powder is the second dental powder I’ve tried, and I’ve had a very positive experience with it. The container is small, but you only need a tiny amount each day, and the included spoon makes it easy to measure the correct portion. I started to notice fresher breath after about a week of adding it to their food. After two to three weeks, their front teeth looked brighter, and the plaque on the back teeth appeared lighter compared with before. Both dogs have responded to it well, and I didn’t notice any issues with taste or digestion. It’s been simple to use as part of their regular routine which includes weekly brushing, and the results have been encouraging.

Fantastic stuff that’s worked for our dogs.
With our 4 year old Old English sheepdog we noticed a big improvement after 3 days, bad breath had gone and teeth were white. Our 9 year old it’s taken around a week or so, we’re impressed, it’s unbelievable stuff and it’s worked for us, I’d recommend it.

Used since 2019: Vital for Toy Breeds but DO NOT Stop Brushing!
🐶🦷 Overview: An ethically developed, scientifically backed pet dental care supplement that excels as a tartar remover for dogs by softening deposits, though it is no substitute for the manual brushing required to protect the delicate jawbones of small breeds. ✅ Pros: • 100% Organic & Natural: Sustainably harvested seaweed with no additives. • Clinically Proven: VOHC-accepted for its proven ability to help remove tartar by softening deposits. • Ethical Origins: Developed with human-grade standards and tested for safety across species. • Effective Dog Breath Freshener: Noticeable improvement in breath within 3–8 weeks. ❌ Cons: • Not a Standalone Solution: It cannot replace the mechanical force needed to clean crowded teeth in small breeds. • Thyroid Warning: High natural iodine makes it unsuitable for pets with hyperthyroidism. • Variable Results: As a tartar remover for dogs, its effectiveness depends on individual pet chemistry. I have used ProDen PlaqueOff Powder for my small and toy-breed dogs since 2019. I have immense respect for the company's high standards; knowing the active ingredient is VOHC approved and that it was first tested on humans before being clinically studied in dogs and cats gives me peace of mind regarding its safety and ethics. However, my long-term experience has shown me that while it is an excellent dog breath freshener, its application requires a nuanced approach for high-risk breeds. The Science of Small Mouths and Expected Timelines 🧬🕰️ This powder uses a 100% organic Scandinavian seaweed, Ascophyllum nodosum, which works systemically through the saliva to break down the bacterial biofilm. In my experience, results follow a specific timeline: breath typically freshens within 3 weeks, but the actual softening of existing tartar takes about 8 weeks of consistent use. While my small-breed dog has sparkling teeth, my toy-breed dog has a thin layer of tartar on two teeth. This highlights that the powder works by softening existing deposits over time, making them easier to remove, rather than making them vanish magically. In tiny mouths with crowded teeth, the mechanical force of a toothbrush remains essential even after the tartar has softened. ⚠️ A Critical Note on Safety and Scaling ⚠️ While this powder makes tartar soft enough to potentially scrape away after the 8-week mark, never use sharp metal instruments or "human" dental scalers at home. Attempting to scrape teeth with anything harder than a toothbrush can cause microscopic scratches in the enamel that trap more bacteria, and a sudden flinch can lead to severe gum trauma. Furthermore, this supplement primarily addresses the visible portion of the tooth; it does not address disease below the gum line. Regular professional dental cleanings are necessary to identify and treat subgingival issues that no powder or brush can reach. 🐶🩺 Administration, Value, and Freshness I’ve found the "scoop-and-serve" method very simple; I mix the supplement into my dogs raw food. It would combine equally well with lightly cooked or canned food and could also be sprinkled over kibble. For those concerned about cost, a little goes a long way. Using the official feeding guidelines, a 60g bottle lasts my toy breed nearly six months. While larger tubs provide better bulk value for big dogs, I prefer the smaller 60g containers for my toy breeds. This ensures the seaweed stays fresh and potent, whereas a larger tub would remain open for well over a year. Consistency and Safety Consistency is key. Since 2019, I've noticed that if I skip more than 3–4 days, the breath-freshening benefits begin to fade. It is also a relief to know the product is gluten-free and sugar-free. However, I always remind fellow owners of the thyroid warning: because of the high natural iodine content, it is unsuitable for pets with hyperthyroidism. The "Nuanced" Multi-Product Approach I use this powder to "soften the battlefield", along with dog-safe toothpaste, brushing and natural dental chews. This combined effort, balanced with veterinary check-ups, is what keeps my dogs' teeth healthy. 🌿🪥🐶🩺 ✅ Final Verdict I will continue to use PlaqueOff because it makes the tartar that does form much softer and easier to brush away. However, I strongly advise other pet guardians not to dispense with tooth brushing or regular veterinary dental exams. Use it as a powerful addition to your pet dental care routine, not as a total replacement! 🐾❤️

Fresher breath. 11 year old border collie
I started using this dental powder after my 11-year-old Border Collie had to have a couple of teeth removed and the rest polished at the vet due to tartar buildup. Our vet recommended trying a dental powder, and I’m really glad we did. I just sprinkle it onto his food each day and he eats it without any fuss. His bad breath has pretty much disappeared, and after a couple of months his teeth seem to be staying much cleaner. A tub also lasts ages since you only use a small amount each day, so it feels like good value. Overall, a really easy way to help keep his teeth and breath in better condition.

Besser als eine Zahnsteinentfernung beim Tierarzt
Einfach beeindruckend.

Seems to work well to whiten, brighten and hinder plaque development
I've waited to review this product until we'd used it daily for a month. The left photo shows my dogs teeth before and the right photo shows after one month of use. Positives - his breath does seem to be nicer, he doesn't mind the taste of it and he's notoriously picky, it's actually quite affordable because despite the initial cost being high you use so little that a single jar will last many months. No further plaque has developed. I think his teeth are a little whiter and brighter. Negatives - so it's not a cure all. The amount of plaque hasn't really changed all that much but we also bought an ultrasonic cleaner and he has a toothbrush to use as well. We'll launch into that now but I really wanted to use JUST the plaque off product for a month to see what happened before I muddied the results with other products. Possibly great long term to avoid plaque development but you should probably start with a full dental clean as it doesn't make a huge difference to already developed plaque. Ultimately I think this is a great addition to your dogs dental hygiene routine but it's not a cure all - especially if the dog already has developed plaque. I'll be really interested in the long term results now once we get the a full dental clean as to whether ProDen continues to make a difference in plaque development. We'll continue buying it.
