Simple and powerful heatgun
One of the controls didn't make it to the photos: there's a three-state switch for off/medium airflow/high airflow at the back where you hold it, and also a turning knob for setting the temperature on the side.It can be laid down stable on its back between uses, so that the nozzle points upwards, not accidentally burning the surface underneath.Comes with a few accessories that can be attached to the nozzle, I found the protector quite useful, and a shavehook/scraper is also included. Comes in a plastic case.Very good quality for the price, definitely recommended. I used it to remove stubborn wallpaper paste from the wall.Make sure you wear gloves and never touch the tip, even when switched off, it can be extremely hot.

Versatile Tool
Useful addition to my toolkit. It works pretty well and it can even be used to light dry logs on my wood burning stove without any paper or kindling. It just takes a bit of practice to get the right settings and technique to avoid blowing too much ash and smoke out into the room. That illustrates just how dangerous this could be in the wrong hands so keep it out of reach of the kids. It also takes a long time for the nozzle to cool down so be patient before putting it back into its plastic carrying case and keep the nozzle away from the power cord. With the two fan speeds and rotary temperature setting knob there is quite a large degree of heat control. It only has a 2m long power cord. For me a 3m cord would have been better. As someone else said it comes with a ridiculously blunt scraper which needs a visit to my grinder.Overall I am very satisfied.

Does the job
This has everything you need, the different accessories simply push on and it comes with a plastic carry case. The body of the gun stays quite cool even after using it for quite a while unlike many of the cheap ones. It's light but also feels quite solid and seems well made.Too soon to comment on reliability, but its done everything I've asked of and have done a few jobs so far and used most of the different attachments.Black & Decker are aimed at the DIY market, but unlike the cheap ones they do seem to last a reasonable time when used that way.

Excellent Heat Gun
Bought this to help me strip old wax and varnish from an oak table. Works very well and softens both wax and varnish very quickly allowing you to strip easily with stripping knife. A note of caution though - this little machine can put out a lot of heat so practice first to make sure that you keep correct distance from your work surface and move along the surface at the correct speed otherwise too much heat will burn the material you want to remove making it harder to scrape off.

OK for 30 months light use, now broken
This was my second B&D heat gun bought as a replacement. It was OK but had a softer fan so needed to be closer to what you are heating to use.... But it was ok. Now after 30 months of very light use, probably about once a month for no more than 15 mins each use, it no longer gets hot, only warm.Pulled it apart and can't see anything broken, burnt or melted so it's going to go in the bin.So it went from just ok, to broken with out a hard life.Shan't be buying another, especially as my original used and abused 10 year old model is still going strong, all be it with grinding and whirring noises!

Good heat gun at the price.
This heat gun is a little lighter than its predecessor but adequately sturdy and light to hold and operate for longer periods. Temperature control is very good with a full range for all purposes.

Good quality heatgun
For the price point I have found this to be a sturdy and reliable heat-gun used daily. The power cord is quite long which is a bonus, heat settings straight forward and the general feel is that of quality.I would not hesitate recommending this over the 'no brand' equivalents.

Non durable
Not good if you need to use a lot, bought two of them and both stopped working due to extensive use within a few weeks
