Can you use this on jewellery with stones?

Yes, if they are precious stones such as emeralds, diamonds, ruby etc. I have used it on all of those and no detrimental affects. Do no use on pearls or opals, the stones will dissolve or land up with pitted surfaces

What is the active ingredient? Is it Thiourea?

I would say it doesn't have any active ingredients as it's rubbish, don't waste your money.
