Bahco CS300 Combination Square 300mm | Carpenter Measuring Square

I've been a carpenter for ten years now and a quality, durable combination square is a necessity for my toolbox.The square was packaged in bubble wrap and plenty of it which reduces the chance of damage to the item. The square was then in a card sleeve with bahco logos and descriptions on it.The head of the square is made from cast aluminium which is nice and chunky and orange in colour. There is an adjustment screw to control blade depth, a small spirit level and a marking pin that screws into the bottom of the head.The adjustment screw tightens well and moves freely. The spirit level is clearly visible and is accurate enough for what it could be used for. Although I generally do not use the marking pins on combination squares I checked it and is sharp and looks of good quality.The blade fits into the top of the head and is clearly marked in millimetres and inches, this also moves freely and works well.This square is good quality and at a low price will be a great addition to my tools to do the job I do well.Really impressed with it.

Reviewed Jan 2021:Had this for a while now, but really made use of it when I was lining our garden shed with plywood, which meant fiddly measuring around windows, door, power sockets and so on.This was so useful for marking up where to cut, and giving me confident that it's accurate (even with wood). Its one of those tools that you know has quality when you pick it up, it has some weight and sturdiness to it.Hopefully lasts a lifetime, and I never have to buy another one again, its one of those 'get what you pay for 'tools

arrived quickly, well packaged. this item - the rule, locking thread, spring, moving mechanism with level - is made of reasonably sturdy steel, with aliminium screw knob. The slide is smooth enough to function. the locking action is sturdy and looks like it will hold. if it doesn't, you will hear about it. the accuracy is quite close, a fraction of a millimetre off. it will be fine for everyone in DIY except those whose work requires absolute accuracy. the numbers are both etched and painted, so should last. the level works fine.bahco loses a point because the edges of the item are sharp enough to injure if handled incautiously - clearly no edge buffing, a cheap cost cutter in manufacturing - and the scriber did in fact draw blood when accidently dropped point first onto my thumb.tack a bit of sandpaper to a flat surface and -briefly!- run the edges of the square's rule over it to buff off the manufacturing burrage, and this tool should comfortably handle a lifetime's use.

Perfect good price & quick delivery

The screw-in scribe / marker appeared to be missing from the set when I opened the package. However, days later when I was folding up the large Amazon cardboard box that it came in, along for various other puchases, ready for recycling, I found the scribe rattling around in the bottom of the box. So beware, it had become separated from the combination square somehow, and fallen out of the bubble wrap protection.All is now good, and the combination square is excellent.

Il prodotto è arrivato in un giorno come previsto con Prime. Nonostante sia stato spedito all'interno di 2 buste di pluriball è arrivato integro (un imballo più rigido tipo cartone sarebbe stato meglio vista la natura del prodotto facile a piegarsi)A 15,86 credo sia un prezzo giusto visto che l'avevo in lista e per un paio di mesi era arrivato al costo di circa 21 eurini.Ora indipendentemente dal costo, le squadre DEVONO segnare i 90 ed eventualmente i 45 PRECISI altrimenti non servono a nulla. La combinata della Bahco è un buon compromesso qualità/prezzo visto che in vari brico ho visto roba simile a pochi euro e con alcune parti in plastica che saranno pure precisi (dubito) ma... quanto possono durare?Come da titolo (almeno nel mio caso) i 45 e 90 gradi e la bolla sono precisi.Il righello è in acciaio con tacche incise (scala metrica 300 mm e la corrispettiva imperiale) e il resto in ghisa (credo), quindi un prodotto costruito bene ed è marchiato Bacho (alcuni utenti ho letto che lamentavano il fatto di aver ricevuto un prodotto "anonimo" e questo, almeno per me, non va bene e PRETENDO che quando acquisto online di ottenere quello che mi aspetto).[Alcuni consigli... se vi fa piacere]Ho letto che qualcuno lamentava che non piaceva la posizione della scala metrica ma vi ricordo che dopo aver allentanto per bene il fermo si può sfilare il righello e girarlo ma, se non bastasse e non soddisfa questo settaggio ho messo messo qualche foto per impostarla nel modo che più vi garba.- Nella foto 3 è settata come è arrivata a me (in modo speculare rispetto alla foto su Amazon) e dopo aver svitato il perno e sfilato la molla e poi il Fermo, il dentino che si va ad infilare nel righello nella foto 3 è rivolto verso il basso, ma se volete settare la combinata come da foto Amazon (foto 4) basta semplicemente sfilare tutto e infilare il fermo col dentino e il righello girati di 180 gradi!Spero di essere stato chiaro.E' tutto e forse sono stato "fortunato" ma ovviamente consiglio questa squadretta combinata al 100%.

I like Bahco's products, but I received it and checked square, and it's 1 degree out. It's a nice product, but it hasn't been ground to true it up.If you want something for rough layout, it might be okay. If you need an accurate square, unless you have the ability to grind the fence yourself try something else.
