Duronic HM4 SR Electric Hand Mixer With Storage Case, 5 Speeds 400W, Silver

I’m truly impressed by this electric handheld mixer. I’m a keen home cook and over some 50 years, I’ve stuck with Kenwood. To be fair, I’ve only ever bought two in that time as they last. I looked at another Kenwood as a replacement but I wasn’t impressed. The Kenwood handheld is cheaper, but the motor is 150w less powerful, it only has beaters and there’s no stand or wall mount. I’m really pleased I chose the Duronic for a number of reasons. The company is British based. Whilst theI items are likely to be made in China (like everything else now), I feel it’s good to have the backing of a British business. The mixer is well presented in a quality coloured card box and it looks and feels like a quality item. It’s supplied with beaters, a pair of dough hooks and a balloon whisk. These items sit neatly in a clear plastic base so when not in use, everything is neatly stored together. All the beaters click in and out easily. The motor is powerful and quiet and the turbo boost is really impressive. The parts can all be washed in the dishwasher and the mixer is comfortable to hold and not too heavy. I have a large food processor with the same functions, but it’s inconvenient to set up so I’m delighted that for ease of use, this is good to go in seconds. As I get older, convenience is increasingly important and this hand held unit sits neatly in a drawer, ready to use immediately. I love it.

Wow, what an incredible mixer! I bought this to replace a hand mixer my boss gifted to me 30 years ago which has just decided to stop working. Haven’t used it yet in cooking, but I have tested all the attachments and the speed is brilliant even has a turbo booster button! The reason I bought this model was purely for the storage container which is a godsend. I’ve read that some people have said that the container falls off when you pick up the mixer. You just need to apply a bit of pressure to make sure that the mixer is clipped in. Absolutely over the moon with it highly recommended and I managed to buy it for the bargain price of £18!

The position of the wire is bad. Flexing has caused the wire casing to break. Otherwise great mixer.

Great little space saving mixer, love the storage compartment. Needed a replacement beater. But customer service was prompt and happy to help. And sorted this replacement part, with speed, even over a bank holiday period. This is a mid weight unit, not too tiring to hold for basic mixing and beating tasks. And it steadily stands on its end when you need to add other ingredients. The storage compartment is a brilliant added feature- so you can keep all it’s additional utensils handy and not loose them in a draw or cupboard.I would recommend this product and the seller.

This mixer was the surprise of my life, I researched on line for a while comparing them and settled on this one. I am so impressed, with its weight, its action and most of all with its performance. The best thing is that it starts off really slowly so no mess when it first hits the mix, yet it goes on to high speed with no trouble and it is high and fast. Does meringues in minutes. The beaters are quite unique in that they are not flat, just a little round shape but mix incredibly well and loads of mix does not stick to them - brilliant. As well as the dough hooks, a balloon which is provided, so handy for cream etc. It has a nice flat base that sits firmly when set down and doesn't topple over, covering everything in the mix that flies off when this happens. The controls are easy to use but not right under where you hold the mixer so you don't hit them accidently. It is fairly light to hold even for a while and the bonus is, it runs for a longer time than most others on one go. The way it stores is fantastic, so tidy and takes up no room at all, looks tidy even left on the worktop. When the bigger mixer is not needed, and given the price, wish I'd treated myself to one of these years ago!
