Moleskine Pocket Watercolour Notebook

I purchased this to do some Urban sketching using watercolour pencils. I've created some simple swatches on the first pages and the qualyof paper looks perfect for watercolour. No bleeding through into the next page. Small and portable enough for on the go sketching and a quality finish.

Literally perfect!! My favourite sketchbooks to use and I love how they're A6 size. Paper is great quality.

Perfect pocket sketchbook for watercolours when out and about. Also if like me you can't be bothered to cart to much kit. I used these on a 2 week painting holiday, mainly just to have with me for capturing relaxed moments with the group in the evenings as I find they are Ideal for pencil or ink sketches as well.

These are perfect for quick watercolour sketches. I didn’t really do much plein air watercolour before I had one of these, no I rarely leave home without one. The paper is hardy, doesn’t buckle, its hardback, there’s an elastic band to keep closed and a little pocket in the back. And its reasonably priced. Get one!

This is a delightful little book and perfect for sketching ideas, or taking out and about to capture what you see. THe feel of the book is very nice - feels robust, solid, quality. It won't easily bend, warp or twist in your pocket or bag. It also has a little elasticated closure, ensuring it won't flap open and become ruined in transit. The paper itself is lovely - nice even textured, and a very slightly creamy colour. Painting on the paper is as expected - it takes sufficient water without buckling, and the colours look good on the surface. I've already ordered more because I wouldn't wish to be without it!

Lovely quality

Nice size, nice paper surface to draw and paint on lightly with watercolour. Very versatile and easy to carry around. Also robust enough to take constant shoving into a pocket or bag without breaking down too much over time. I've had cheaper sketchbooks that just don't last to the final page before they crumble which is why I started making my own leather covered ones. This is a great, slim alternative and built to stand the test of an outdoor sketcher. JMW would have used one if they'd been available!

I absolutely love moleskine. I ordered a pocket watercolour journal as well as a larger watercolour journal. I was going to use the small book for basic sketches and planning my actual pieces and I love how it lays flat, great sturdy cover. Completely black so you can add stickers for style. Very pleased with this product! Only issue was that on the opening page there was a black mark but it was not on the actual drawing paper, just on the inside of the opening page (which I'm going to redesign with black ink to cover it up which works for me)

Ich habe mir dieses Aquarellbuch bestellt, da ich gerne skizziere und meine Skizzen mit Aquarellfarben coloriere. Klein und handlich sollte es sein, damit ich es überall hin mitnehmen kann. Entgegen der anderen teilweise negativen Bewertungen habe ich mir gedacht, ich probiere es trotzdem mal aus und war positiv überrascht. Das Büchlein hat einen festen Einband und wirkt robust. In der hinteren Buchklappe befindet sich eine kleine 'Tasche', in der man Zettel aufbewahren kann. Ein Gummizug hält das Büchlein zu. Ich male schon seit einigen Jahren bevorzugt mit Aquarellfarben und habe schon einige Aquarellpapiere ausprobiert. Natur der Sache ist natürlich, dass die Seiten - wie es eben in einem Buch so ist - nur an einer Seite befestigt sind und sich somit natürlich leichter wellen. Wer sonst mit sehr viel Wasser auf Blöcken malt, muss sich mit einem Aquarellbuch wohl etwas umstellen. Es ist nicht zu empfehlen, die Seite SEHR zu durchnässen, weder vor dem Auftragen der Farbe noch während dessen. Ich würde sagen, dass ich mit "normal" viel Wasser male und bei mir wellen sich die Seiten nicht! Das kommt wohl ganz auf den Malstil an. Für meine Zwecke absolut ausreichend, gute Qualität, kein Wellen der Seiten und sehr handlich. Von mir eine Kaufempfehlung :-)

Been using these books for over 8 years now. Excellent quality, and can take a beating. Perfect for ink sketching, and light water color work. The paper is of good quality, and you can always find different grit/tooth for texture. The size is perfect for most back pockets. Highly recommended

This is a great little water coloring book to have with you when you are out and about for some quick and easy watercolor. 👍

I should have checked the measurement on an actual ruler before ordering this, but now that I'm used to the small size (I thought it would be almost twice the size! silly me), I love it! Very portable size and wonderful paper quality and binding.

Ho comprato sia la versione 14x9cm che quella 21x13cm, la piccola (14x9) è comodissima entra anche in tasca, è poco più grande della mia confezione di acquerelli da viaggio, inoltre il formato perché permette semplicemente di tenerla in una mano e disegnare con l'altra senza poggiarla, ovviamente quando si passa a dipingere la storia cambia e mi trovo meglio con la versione grande (21x13), questa entra comodamente in qualsiasi borsello, ha un formato che reputo più comodo per disegnare inoltre usata disegnando su 2 pagine attigue permette di fare dei panorami, se dovessi scegliere una delle 2 acquisterei questo formato. La carta in entrambi i formati è perfetta per l'uso ad acquerello, paragonabile a altre ben più costose: se usata senza "allagarla" regge davvero bene, nel mio caso non s'è mai imbarcata o flessa in alcun modo, anche se 200g sembrano pochi, è ben rilegata, e per questo regge. Decisamente un buon prodotto.
