These bags are really, really good. I have only used 2 so far, one for clothes just to test it, and the other to store a thick, duck down kingsize duvet. The duvet was a struggle to fit in the bag but once it was in, the little zipper thing to seal it was really easy to use and fast. The vent on the bag has a one way valve so you don't have to worry about air getting back in to it once you have vacuumed it out. When using the pump, it screws in place making a brilliant seal. I started to use the included pump which it was clear would take absolutely hours to get all the air out. I didn't want to get the hoover out as one of the main reasons to buy this is to use at the caravan where we don't take the hoover. I had the brain wave of unsealing the bag to squeeze some air out. It did occur to me that i might break the bag using this method but then I remembered the '100% money back guarantee' in the description. So I opened up the side of the seal. There are 2 seal strips which both work really well, after opening an inch or so I was worried that the seals might split open along the seam but with most of my 16 stone weight on the bag pushing the air out of the little split I had made I am happy to say the seals didn't open any more and the bag showed no signs of splitting. They really are made very well. Once I was sure I had as much air out as I could, I resealed the top and set about attaching the pump again, but again, got sick of using it. The pump is just too small, but its free so i am not marking it down. I got out the hoover... well... dyson and noticed there is a little thumb button on the end of my hoover tube to attach accessories to so I could not get a perfect seal on the bag vent thing, however this was not too much a problem as it was still working very effectively. I got as much air out as I could then fitted the pump on again to get the last out and it was clear when there was little air left in the bag. The pump got stiff to use. I would definately recommend this product.

I bought these for moving house as I normally end up packing everything in bin bags and hauling them around, however, this time will be different! Firstly, the advert said this bag size was "10cm" which makes no sense, they are in fact 80 x 100cm which is a really ample size. So far I've packed 3 bags, one with a high tog/winter superking duvet (which fit in with plenty of space, probably could've packed a pillow in too), I've also packed (as shown in the photos) 1 x double duvet, 2 x pillows and 5 x cushions all into one bag, the third bag I fit 60 x t-shirts, 2 x jeans, 3 x shorts, 3 x PJs and still had a little room for more. Basically you can fit a lot into each bag, so 10 of them gives you plenty of packing space. So far I've seen the main benefits come from packing duvets and pillows due to their high air content they give a great size reduction. Clothes go in great too, show a slight size compression, but I've found it most useful that in holds them tightly together as a solid block which make them easy to transport, stack or store. The box comes with 10 bags, 12 slide shut clips and one pump. The bags are a good quality plastic, well sealed around the edges with a double seal top, their valve is also a good quality plastic, as are the clips and pump. The whole kit feels well made and I have confidence they will stay working long term (the lifetime guarantee helps support that too!). All in all I'm happy with this purchase and would recommend for moving or storing bedding or clothes.

Brilliant great storage bags

I have bought several packs of these over the years for myself and family members. Sadly they are far cry from the quality they used to provide. They are still acceptable but not worth the price as much, as they are much more prone to tearing and reinflating.

Based on other reviews, I purchased a pack of four large bags. They all have stayed vacuum packed. I used two for duvets in our motorhome using the hand pump. As long as you screw the connector on, the hand pump worked well. I hadnt connected it properly to start with and initially gave up like some of the other reviewers did. I will probably buy some smaller bags for packing clothes in the motorhome. Recommended.

I put a queen sized comforter in it, and had a good deal of room left over. Maybe enough for a pillow or two, or half again another queen sized comforter. I have no doubt a king sized would fit in one of these bags. I took the nozzle off my shop vac and sucked the air out in just a few seconds. Now I have a fluffy pancake. That was a few days ago, and it's still in the same shape. Alot easier to store now in the basement, and since most of the air is sucked out, I worry less about it developing any sort of basement odor. There really is no special tool needed to get the air out- I was a little confused about that at first. All you need is a vacuum cleaner with the hose extension. Good product.

Based on the reviews I had read, I purchased 4 of the Jumbo vacuum bags. How disappointing. They DO NOT maintain their vacuumed state as reviewed. I have tried everything including reducing the amount in the bag to 1 x standard pillow, however fail within 2 days!
