This flashlight has near-legendary status amongst those who like to be prepared or who like to keep a flashlight to hand at ALL times. I consider myself in the latter category - in fact I've usually got at least 2 flashlights on me ALL the time, certainly when I'm outside the house. This is always one of them. It's stored in my little EDC pouch and because of it's dimensions, it can easily fit anywhere a pen normally would. It has a C4 LED outputting 48 lumens for 6.25 hours from 2 AAA batteries; decent brightness for its size and pretty good battery life. It has a push-button switch on the tail cap which needs to be pressed deliberately to stay on. This is a useful feature; if you just want momentary illumination, keep your finger on the button. A firm press will keep it on and means you're not likely to drain batteries from an inadvertent press in your bag/pocket. It is water-resistant to IPX-4 standard which means it can withstand water 'splashing' at a rate of 10l/min from all angles i.e. you can easily use it in the pouring rain but it is not quite fully submersible. My other flashlight which stays with me is the tiny Fenix E05 which is submersible (IPX-8). The Stylus Pro is also dust and shock resistant. The clip is also very useful for storing in a pouch, bag or pocket. It has one mode - 'on'. No flashing, strobing or varying power levels but it is still one of the most useful flashlights simply because of its size and build quality.

Superb little light that is ideal for EDC, extremely bright beam for it`s size, easy to change batteries and get replacements being AAA, solid durable construction, what`s not to like! Pros: * Bright * Small size for daily pocket carry * Perfectly shaped, like a pen. Shorter lights work their way out of your pocket when you sit. * Batteries last a LONG time with normal use (around a year) * Durable Cons: * The pocket clip seems to be slightly weak, time will tell. This is a perfect EDC item, must have in my opinion.

The Streamlight Stylus Pro makes an ideal EDC (every day carry) light. There are a lot of similar pen lights with three brightness settings which do have their place, but for EDC i found that most of them on the brightest setting have a limited run time of under an hour and on the middle setting were not bright enough. This light however has one setting but offers 100 lumens of light for eight hours. The push button tail switch also has optional momentary operation which means you push it for light and release for off, rather than clicking it on and clicking off.

these are awesome torches from a great manufacturer ant at a good price. i would recommend this to anyone looking for a slimline pen thin torch. clips nicely into a jacket or trouser pocket and great for keeping in a work bag or car. simple one function torch thats excellent quality.

This is a nice little torch, bright enough for everyday use. It is nicely constructed and I believe they will last for years. However, you will probably end up losing it before it breaks (like I did) because it is incredibly low profile. Onto my second one now. You can't really feel it in your pocket which is perfect for everyday carry. Just like carrying around a pen.

Good small light which is good for checking brakes with the wheels still on

I wanted a cheap, lightweight flashlight to throw in with the various cables I keep in the laptop bag. This is never going to illuminate the beach, but it'll be great for anythign indoors, looking for something in the car park (when you don't want to be waiving your £500+ phone around as a light). I spent a while traversing the Reddit EDC and Flashlight subs and this looked about right. Remembering this is a £20 flashlight and not a £200+ Surefire, it does the job spot on. Weight was an important factor, and this comes in at 25g without batteries (amazon says 98g, but that must include packaging), add some alkalines to that and it is 48g. Could probably get it a little lighter with some energizer lithium aaa batteries. Brightness: 3/5 (don't let that put you off) Weight: 5/5 (25g without batteries) Value: 5/5 (it's <£20, I think I also had a £5 promo voucher so it cost me about £15 all in) Want the best? Look for a Surefire, but I'm not going to worry about losing or dropping this!

Awesome, very robust, very bright, simple and easy to use. I went in the forest pitch black and used it, the results were astonishing, very bright. Overall an excellent pen light i recommend

Torch keeps flashing even with new batteries, contacted supplier three times with no response. Frustrating as l need this torch for work.. Happy to change my review once someone contacts me with customer support/service. Untill then lm annoyed..

Stylus Pro : Thin in width and only slightly over 5 inches long, comes with a pocket clip, a nylon belt carrying sleeve, a spare rubber switch cover and 2 AAA batteries. The light is solidly made and the back end unscrews to change the batteries. Battery life is listed at approx. 6.25 hours. The LED is rated at a bright 48 Lumens with brand new batteries. Also I feel it is reasonably priced for its quality and functionality. This light is versatile in that it can be carried in its belt sleeve, a lady’s purse or even in a shirt pocket using its clip. That clip is also good for keeping the light from rolling off of a flat surface. Even around the house this light is great for tons of things. i.e.: I just used it to see behind my equipment rack while I was changing some connections around. I could easily hold this light with one finger and still pretty much work with both hands. (Try that with a regular sized flashlight). :-) I also recommend this light because it has fewer moving parts than some. My previous one-battery, twist-switch penlight had a press fitted front section which eventually came loose on me releasing a spring and several other pieces like the led on its circuit board and the lens. I got it all back together, but after that it never consistently lit without having to play around with it for a while. This light has so far been very reliable for me, is solidly made, and the front end/led section is totally sealed. Note: When changing the batteries: To keep the pocket clip’s straight-edge from scratching the light's good looking painted barrel as you unscrew the light’s end piece, which has both the rubber switch cap and pocket clip base attached to it, you should place a small piece of paper or cloth under the clip’s contact edge at the end of the clip nearest the light's lens. This will prevent the clip's edge point from scratching the paint on the light’s barrel as you unscrew the cap to change the batteries. The switch has a dual operating mode. Pushing it lightly with your finger-tip temporarily turns on the light until you release it. The switch can also be 'clicked' to full on and off mode. The actual switch mechanism is located below the center of the rubber cap on the back end of the light. The rubber cap measures approx. 3/8 inch OD but only about 3/16 of it in the center can actually be moved / pushed down enough to 'click' the switch to full mode. The rubber cap center must be pushed down approx. a full 1/8 inch to actuate the switch below it between full on and off. Do not try to use the fat portion of your finger/thumb to switch it full on/off. You will be pushing against the outside edges of the rubber cover which are perpendicular and not movable. Use the tip of your finger or thumb instead to push the center of the rubber end cap down enough to actuate the 'clicking' switch mechanism. If you have stubbier, shorter fingers you can also hold the light in one hand and easily actuate the switch using a finger on your other hand. But if you insist on trying to push the switch down 1/8 inch while still covering even the outside edges of the rubber cap with your finger, all I can say is good luck. You can get a replacement rubber switch cap but there is no listed part number for a new finger.  This switch mechanism assures the light won’t inadvertently turn on while you’re carrying it around so you then have dead batteries when you may actually need to use this light the most. I do recommend this light. I think you’ll like it and find it very useful either at work or just to see in darkened areas in your many, everyday activities. So get a Stylus Pro and see the light; I did.
