It comes with a two pin plug. So if you live in the UK that had obvious issues.

No, its manual. Takes roughly 20 seconds to fill up an espresso shot cup. Its a brilliant machine that makes great coffee so hope it doesn't put you off.

How much coffee is used to make a americano

I only make mugs of americanos and use 1 scoopful per cup and I prefer strong coffee too. I use the scoop provided, guess about table spoon. I am very pleased with the smooth taste the machine produces compared to my old maker.

Anybody got tips to stop it dripping? drips after making coffee :-( i got it from amazon wearhouse, perhaps returned for this reason

Mine does the same. I think it is an overall design fault. I just place a jug underneath. I found the srip tray couldn't cope. It does stop after a few minutes.
