Reliable and Easy-to-Use
As someone with run-flat tyres on my car, I am always conscious of checking my tyre pressure regularly to ensure a safe driving experience. After purchasing a portable car tyre inflator machine, I diligently followed my car's pressure guide when inflating my tyres. However, during a routine tyre replacement, the technicians were shocked at how my tyre pressure had exceeded the car's recommended levels. They suggested that I invest in a digital tyre pressure gauge to verify the accuracy of the inflator machine, as some machines can be unreliable. That's when I decided to purchase the AA Digital Tyre Pressure Gauge, and I have never looked back. Since adding this handy tool to my car maintenance routine, I now use it every time I inflate my tyres to ensure accurate pressure levels. The AA Digital Tyre Pressure Gauge is incredibly easy to use, with a clear digital display that provides precise pressure readings. Its compact design makes it convenient to store in my glove compartment, allowing me to have it on hand whenever I need it. The device has also proven to be durable and consistent in its performance. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of the AA Digital Tyre Pressure Gauge. It has not only helped me maintain the appropriate tyre pressure in my car but has also given me peace of mind knowing that my tyres are safe and well-maintained. I highly recommend this digital tyre pressure gauge to anyone in need of a reliable, user-friendly solution for their tyre maintenance needs.

Great little gadget
This is a handy little gadget - about the size of a mobile phone. Made of grey plastic with a soft, acid-etched finish, it is simple and quick to use, and provides a clear display in PSI or BAR. If you are long-sighted, be warned that the PSI and BAR unit display is minuscule. The device has just one button, which switches it on and off, and switches between PSI and BAR. The gauge has blue LED illumination, so you can use it in the dark without the need for a torch. It also switches itself off automatically after 60 or 90 seconds. Interestingly, when you switch it on, for a split second, several other units appear along the bottom of the display, but you can't select them. It comes in one of those indestructible plastic packages that you have to hack at with a steak knife to open. The packaging is quite big for such a small device, and seems to be designed for anti-shoplifter in-store display. The instructions are clear, but written by someone who has no idea what to do with an apostrophe. Oh dear. (You'd think the AA could afford to hire a technical author.) The instructions also include a nice legal-problem-avoidance clause for the AA, which basically says that the measurements the device makes are for guidance only and might not be very accurate. Hmmm. The device is easy to use, is robust, and will stand a few knocks. I have not found a serious fault with it.

Good product
An easy to use tyre pressure gauge that is suitable for anyone. It has an easy to read display and is comfortable to handle. It took a little practice to get used to it for a novice like me but once you master it, it's easy.

Pros: Small and light Cons: Inconsistant performance
Bought this to check motorbike tyre pressures. When it works it gives good readings but the end needs to be seated against the valve 'just so' other wise it releases air from the tyre which isn't much use if you want to check the tyres to find out if there has been any pressure loss since the last check and get an idea of the health - no punctures or worn seal - on the tyres. When I first used it the only issue was seating the nozzle against the tyre valve but after a couple of months I really needed to treat the gauge with kid gloves as any slight knock causes the gauge to lose power. This can be tricky when trying to correctly seat it avoiding disks or spokes as it will go off and then come back before you realise and after a few attempts with a couple of instances of escaping air the foot pump needs to be used to get it back to recommended pressures. The gauge is boxed and stored on a shelf so i assume this re-starting is an issue with the battery. Some on this site suggest this may be due to battery health but as the screws to open the unit are recessed and a smaller size getting to the battery looks like a bit of a faff and it batteries only last a couple of months I don't think I'll bother and buy an analogue gauge like I should have done in the first place. I guess you get what you pay for and for £8 you can't complain. However, if you need to check tryre pressues, on a motorbike for instance , every time you ride then I recommend looking for something a little more sturdy and reliable.

Small, cheap, easy
Cheap and easy to use. Appears to be accurate. Of course if you are left handed the displayed value is on the back of the gauge. But it does display long enough for you to turn it round to read it.

Essential kit
Works well. If your car says you have low tyre pressure but never which tyre ( like mine) this is essential

Awkward Angle - Don’t Buy
Slow in giving a reading Then the display keeps showing the same reading, even when ready to take a reading on the next tire so you’ve got to wait an extra few more seconds to shut off. I don’t recommend this product. Also the angle is very awkward.

Faulty after a few months
Bought this digital AA pressure gauge in December 2025, to keep in my motorcycle jacket pocket, as it is a lot smaller than the mechanical pressure gauge that I bought several years ago. The AA gauge seemed to give correct readings for the first few months, but now it reads 1.95 bar for tyres that are actually 2.2, 2.4 or 2.5 bar. I know it is inaccurate because the mechanical pressure gauge is displaying the expected readings for all the tyres that I tested both gauges on. To rule out the batteries in the AA gauge as the problem I replaced all 4 of them (1x cR2032 and 3x LR44), but the unit is still reading 1.95 bar on a 2.4 bar tyre. The AA gauge is now useless to me. I dont think I still have the original box or any warranty slip it may have contained, so am not hopeful of getting a replacement. Does anybody have any similar experience? Or try to have their unit replaced?

Does the job perfectly
Does exactly as advertised. Comes with a nice illuminated screen and mount which is very useful if you're using it at night or in a dark garage. It's also very compact and light, so fits nicely in the glove box. Perfect for track days or if you have cars or motorcycles that sit for long periods.
