Brain Health and Inflammation Support
The main reasons you would get Lion’s Mane (in terms of purported scientific benefits anyway) is twofold. 1/ For brain health - It is apparently useful for mild depression and dementia symptoms 2/ Anti-inflammatory properties Currently, I would say both of these claims are unproven in real people. Most of the studies I could find were in mice and rats. So, there are hopefully a ton of happy uninflamed mice knocking about the world!Whether any of this translates into humans, I honestly don’t know. At this price for basically a months supply I may never find out on a long term basis. At £35 these seem to be about twice the price of most other brands I could find on Amazon. They also don’t have an image of the ingredients label; which I always find annoying. Skip the arty shots please. Show me the money shot of what I’m actually getting! So, for your delight and pleasure, this is exactly what it says on such label, so you know exactly what you are getting with these:(Note - This is absurdly small even on the packaging. I literally had to take a photo of it and then read the photo! It should be much bigger. I couldn’t read it without that. It is much smaller than small print!)---“We believe mushrooms are the future. This scientifically formulated supplement contains a high dose of Lion’s Mane, a medicinal mushroom with the potential to support the brain by helping to catalyse neural pathways for optimised focus, cognition and memory. Lion’s Mane also supports and nourishes the brain of good long-term brain health”INGREDIENTSHericiuym Erinaceus (Lion’s Mane)extract, Bulking Agent (Microcrystalline Cellulose), Clear capsule shell (HPMC, Water, Gellan Gum, Potassium Acetate), Anti-caking agent (Magnesium Stearate)Ingredients (per serving - 2 capsules) (Note there are 60 capsules - So this is basically a 1 month supply)Hericium Erinaceus (Lion’s Mane) 4:1 Mushroom Extract 1000mg (equivalent to 4000mg Lion’s Mane mushrooms per serving) providing 300mg Polysacchardides--But, overall, happy to add a new supplement to the batch for a month, heal my brain etc

Highly recommend!
I’ve taken puresport daily for around 4 months now. And it helps so much with focus and general well-being.I was away with business for a week and forgot to take them and I felt completely off the pace. It’s a monthly buy for me now!

Placebo ?
Hard to tell if these work. They're not detrimental but I can't say I noticed much of a difference as an athlete. Uses these for 4 weeks every day leading into a big race. But again, not much to go by for benefits as nothing significant stood out.

Very expensive and not sure if doing anything as yet. Tried Lions Mane and Reishi
Very expensive at 2 capsules a day and not sure if doing anything as yet! I took these 2 nights running before bed and thought i slept better and most of the night through, but then the 3rd & 4th night my sleep wasn't very good and broken sleep so go figure, and neither was last nights either! This is quite usual for me (i.e. a couple of good nights followed by a week of broken sleep) so I can't attribute this to the 2 good nights sleep as does seem a bit co-incidental. So as it stands at the moment (unless things change) I probably wouldn't buy again - as not done anything for stress levels either. Obviously if you can afford them it might be worth trying, as with anything things work differently for different people.Have now tried the Lions Mane as well and yes easy to take but haven't found any increase in focus or brain power yet. And like someone else said the studies to seem to be focuses (excues the pun) around rodents. I would love it to help my focus so will continue to take, but not holding out much hope at this stage. However if things change I will update.I hope you found that helpful. Let me know if it did. Thanks
