While they last they are pretty good. I got mine in October and it's now kaput. Usual problem with these is that cleaning them usually leaks water into the gears and eventually one of the rollers will stop turning. I'd say you are lucky if you get more than 6 months out of one (best one lasted 9months, worst 3months). I'm probably gonna buy another even though they don't last, because I just spent £80 buying one I thought would last a long time and it's no better than these ones really, and not as easy to clean (plus it has to be screwed down, and unscrewed to clean). As I don't think that will last any longer than these it'll likely be going back and I'll have to get another of these. No choice really is there as there is nothing else on the market that is suitable and pasta machines and coffee grinders just don't cut satisfactorily. So, they are pretty decent for what they do, just don't expect them to last.

Arrived quicker than expected. It is a little unstable if your tobacco is sticky like mine is. However I am pleased with this mill. It shreds much quicker and finer than I can cut it by hand. I just hold the mill firmly if a large sticky leaf gets a bit stuck and it has been fine. To be fair the table is quite light and moves when there is a bit of resistance with the shredding. I definitely only do one leaf at a time and periodically pull the sticky strands through as they get stuck underneath. I also use a wooden lolly stick to scrape bits out. As long as you are gentle this mill works, no problem.

This is cuts perfect unlike some others that claim to cut at 0.8mm but when tested cut at 2mm however the handle is made of a poor grade of steel and twists with use retuning

Having recently bought some whole leaf tobacco I was looking for something to shred the leaves for rolling. I had been using a pasta cutter but found that the cut was too thick for making a good rollie and was more suited for tubing cigarettes. Although this shredder cuts the tobacco slightly thicker than commercial rolling tobacco, it is still easy to roll into a nice RYO cigarette. There is a 1mm model but this may be too thick a cut for rolling and may be better suited for tubing or pipe cuts. It also arrived slightly earlier than expected to extra points for that. For the price you can't go wrong so if you buy whole leaf tobacco or grow your own this is an essential purchase.

Does the job well but a tad on the flimsy side so definitely only do one leaf at a time and treat with care, I recommend removing the end gear cover and adding some high performance grease to the connecting gears as this seemed to improve functioning.

Feels sturdy enough to cut through my small quantity of home grown tobacco and the shred is good enough to use for rolling but you may need to double shred it for smaller pieces. Item arrived earlier than expected but was tracked so no complaints at all from me.
