I have scalp psoriasis and it is advised that you should use a boars hair brush as this helps release the plaques from your scalp to show new skin underneath and makes it better for the scalp to absorb any steroids that are put into it. i would wholly recommend this brush because it is made from a mixture of boars, horse hairs and nylon strands inset into a wooden handle. The handle also has a rubber grip on it. Also it is British made. It has a mix of natural hairs and synthetic strands a may not be best use for blow drying your hair as the heat could cause the synthetic strands to melt. I read a story where a young woman bought a cheap Chinese product described as 100% pure boars hair. It wasn’t it was nylon. She heated her hair and the brush and the nylon strands melted into a hot plastic blob on her scalp burning through the import skin layers of her scalp. For this product here the instructions mention using it on dry hair anyway so you get a natural shine to your scalp hair. Actually they seem a little militaristic in the manner they are written. I don’t know if this is this item is vegan ie the bristles are shawn from a live animal which is left to roam again after their hair dresser has done their work or if the hairs come from the meat processing industry. If you are vegan you might want to check that status. I say this as I noticed in Tesco that they now sell vegan hairbrushes. Pros 1 A good brush for removing flakes and plaques of psoriasis. 2 No sharp ends to the bristles used. 3 not hard but soft bristles. Cons Contains nylon strands which when heated could melt and cause injury. Vegan status Don’t know you’ll have to check with the manufacturer the origin of the bristle or horse hairs used in this product. Again I would wholly recommend this item.

A good, easy to handle hair brush. The bristles are resilient but not too stiff to be uncomfortable.

Excellent just what I wanted

I bought this because daughter purloined my old one, this old one was about 30 years old and still going strong, the bristles are firmer than the new one but not really a problem for me. Now to the review, it is a really comfortable shape for the hand it is easily controlled the bristles as previously mentioned are softer but this is perfect for my thinning hair and gives my scalp a lovely rub. I have tried the "modern" brushes that are plastic/rubber bristles and I feel like they are tearing my scalp off. In conclusion the brush does what I need it to do, it may not be perfect for other people with thicker hair but that would be what you would get the plastic/rubber ones for wouldn't it. I would be happy to recommend this brush.

I have been using this for about a month now and I absolutely love it! I heavily rely on the water-only method of cleaning my hair(but use sulphate-free shampoo every tenth day) plus "scritch and preen" almost daily(any one interested in hair care should look these methods up, it has increased the quality of my hair and scalp tremendously!) This brush really helps with this, distributing the sebum evenly down my hair which makes it super soft and shiny. I wash it with soap after every use and it has not lost any bristles or shape - it looks just like new! The price is very cheap for such a good brush. I would definitely buy from this brand again should I ever need to replace the brush I have now.

It's okkk...The bristles aren't as firm as I expected or hoped. Probably better suited to those with fine - medium thickness hair, otherwise you end up brushing the top layer over and over without actually getting to your scalp, and who has time to section all their hair every time they brush it? If you have the time to do that.. I would still only say that this brush is adequate. Oh, and when you wash it... The varnish on the handle peels and comes away quite easily. This isn't a big deal but I thought I'd let you all know.

Very pleased with the brush. I have long straight hair and the condition has improved as a result of daily use of this brush.

I have a big full beard, and this brush works great. Easy on the beard and does not tug or snag. I have always loved the quality of the Kent products so I knew when I ordered this that it would exceed my expectations.
