I've used Whey for years and it's never sat well in my stomach. I'm in the 1st week of using Perform (Vanilla). I mix with various things (kale, spinach, raw cacao, banana, MCT oil) in my nutri-bullet so can't comment on the flavour/texture neat. However, whilst there is definitely a different flavour/texture coming through I've found it to be pleasant and the smell is great, no gut issues thus far and the knowledge I'm consuming good ingredients. It's expensive but for natural ingredients, no crappy sweeteners and no bloating it's worth paying the extra.. I'm not in it for muscle gain so again can't comment on its effectiveness. I'm an endurance runner so I use for recovery/repair - hopefully it'll do the job!

Vegan protein powder
Great product, tastes really good and keeps you full for ages compared to the whey protein I was using. I highly recommend if you are looking for a Vegan protein powder. It is a little expensive compared to the unflavered, low carb whey protein called total protein from myprotien that ibwas using before. This was also good, however i was hungry an hour later and had bad breath and fated loads which stank. This new protein is still low carb, and has no nasties compared to other protein powders I was looking at. I like to enjoy this product with half water and half unsweeted almond milk. I will definitely buy this product again.

Strange math
Tried my first serving of this today, first impression was that it was incredibly salty to the point of being almost undrinkable! Per serving the nutritional info states that in 36 grams there is 0.01g of salt but per 100g there is 2.8g of salt! That's a huge amount of salt and it's really not good for you. Tastes inferior to some other, cheaper bulk vegan powders I've had in the past and they are less price for almost double the quantity! Biodegradable packaging is a positive and I always like to support vegan products but I think selling a product with almost 3 grams of salt per 100 grams and giving incorrect or misleading nutritional information is a bit irresponsible.

Love love love
This is amazing. Finally found a product fit for my fitness training and regime. For years I've been on and off with whey proteins but having found something without ruining the components of the ingredient is just amazing. I know people might not like the taste of the hemp but what I do is after workout, I make a shake using blueberries, banana, milled chia, flaxseed, spinach and a scoop of this with oat milk. It's yum! I'm not a vegan or changing my diet to vegan but I love incorporating supplements which are made with high quality engriedents, certified organic and raw. My digestion isn't usually good when I try out new whey protein products but since I've tried this (and also I have the Nuzest Protein which is another truly amazing!!) my tummy takes it really well. It would normally make me feel gassy (and sorry to have to write this but my fart smells funny with whey protein) but this just really refreshes my digestive system. I know it's a little pricey but better this than the other alternatives which doesnt provide healthy outcomes. Thank you very much for making this product Vivo Life! I just wish this never discontinues EVER!

Not bad, but expensive, and I'm struggling to get used to the flavour
Nutritionally, this seems like a great option and I'm keen to support companies making good vegan protein supplements. The flavour and cost are issues for me though. This flavour *almost* tastes great. The vanilla part of the flavour is yummy, but I'm not at all fond of the hints of fennel and turmeric, even if these additives are supposedly doing good things for me. They lend a weird tang to the mix, which clashes with the fruits I usually use to make my smoothies. The flavour may be better if you just mix it with water or a non-dairy milk, and I'll admit I haven't tried that yet, but I like to use my smoothies as an opportunity to boost my fruit intake, as well as my protein. This brings me to another issue--the cost. I usually buy unflavoured vegan protein powders by Pulsin for half the price, and these blend much better with the fruits I use as my smoothie base. These Vivo Life PERFORM powders do contain more protein (in particular the BCAAs) per portion than the plain/unflavoured Pulsin powders I usually use, but the fact that the flavour is a bit too overpowering and they're twice the price does go against them. I might get used to the fennel/turmeric/peppermint tang but if not, I'm going back to the cheaper and simpler option!

Really good Proteins! Very happy
Despite few reviews about the bad taste, I decided to buy them anyway because of their very natural ingredients. I must say I am really happy with these proteins. No side effects, no bloating or funny skin like some other proteins powder may give. I used to buy Sun-warrior and Pulsin and have to say these are way nicer! The Vanilla taste is lovely and perfect for a banana blueberry almond or oat milk smoothie. No need to add honey to the smoothie as it has some stevia that really make it sweet! I definitely recommend these.

Great taste, all natural and no hidden nasties
I initially received a free sample of this from the vivolife website (try it out) and was a bit scepticle before trying it as I didn't know if an all natural, plant based protein powder could be made palatable. Ended up buying a tub of the stuff as I was totally chuffed with the taste and it's such a bonus to have such great wholesome ingredients included. The only downside is the price, quite expensive compared to other powders but then this is definitely a case of 'you get what you pay for' as the ingredients are far superior with no hidden nasties. Definitely would recommend this product in either flavour (both as nice as each other).

Whilst it is very healthy I am struggling with the taste! On the positive side it feels far less sweet than other drinks but is still a little sweet for my taste. Also the flavour and smell to my taste again is rather off putting!

I have been working out for years and have always looked for the purest protein powders. I have always tried to avoid chemicals. Because of the continuous pregnancies and excessive milking, many dairy cows suffer from mastitis. As well as being painful for the cows this means there is blood and pus in their milk. In the US the FDA allows 750 million pus cells in every litre of milk. That also includes the Whey. (OK Go ahead and shudder, Yes every single dairy product contains that!) By using Oat milk(jus?), Almond jus, and Vivo Life Perform - Raw Vegan Madagascan Vanilla Protein Powder | Pea & Hemp Protein Blend with BCAA you will get one of the best tasting and good for you Protein drinks you have ever had. I love it and will continue to be their customer.

I am not too much of a vanilla guy but after trying the chocolate flavor and then vanilla, I will stick to the vanilla for sure. Clean and healthy protein powder. What else can I ask for. It is great for breaking the fast and also for a snack before bed. I usually mix it with coconut milk and half a cup of yogurt... delicious and nutrient packed.

Overall this is a very good plant-based protein powder. It is raw, fermented pea protein and each serving provides 25 grams of protein. It has a fair amount of iron in it too, so that's a plus for those of us who follow a plant-based diet. The ingredients seem to be whole and of a high-quality. They use Himalayan pink salt and the only sweetener is stevia; it is flavored with natural vanilla flavor and Madagascan vanilla bean powder. I am not going to lie, it is not the best-tasting protein powder I've ever had, but it's definitely not the worst. You have to be realistic with your expectations of the taste of this; it is pea protein, and it contains reishi mushroom powder so it's going to have an earthy undertone. I think the manufacturer did a good job at making ingredients of a savory nature taste sweet without using a lot of added ingredients. The taste gets better with continued use. The first time I tasted it, I could describe it as being similar to kava, but of course much sweeter and with vanilla flavor. Now I do not notice the earthy flavor so much. The reason for only 4 stars is because the expiration date (5/19) was less than four months away from the time I received it (2/19). Most likely because there is more product sitting around than people buying it. Hopefully there will be new product available as I intend to purchase again.

I am getting used to this product. The taste isn't as good as the whey products I have used but this is my first vegan product and the pea taste and sweetener is acquired. I hide it in cocoa and peanut butter. I suggest you try a smaller quantity of pea protein before buying. I also thought it came in a larger round container. Pay attention to the size listed. I look forward to using this product as it was recommended by a Vegan body builder.

A great way to get protein from natural sources. I like all of the flavors. I use them in blueberry, bananna and kale smoothies.
