As Maggs said, there is a clear plastic film in the battery compartment. I've found that sometimes the bulb does not respond to the remote control unless the bulb in disconnected from the mains for a few seconds. B&M sell a set of remote control LED candles that has the same remote control for £5 if you don't want to return it.

It's this working if I have a normal light in my room and I just want it to have the remote to be able to turn it on and off from my bed, its working

No, you would need to use the bulb that comes With the remote as you can’t connect a normal light to the remote. However the light has an option or warm light, so you can use that setting and then turn it off and on with the remote whilst your in bed.
